Chapter 5 - The drive for victory And Their Attention

Author Note :

The main character was inspired by itoshi rin from Blue lock, so expect for him to act like itoshi during races later on, just wanted to get that out there

Also I'm planning for the player avatar to be in this fic, just don't know how to name them or their gender.

Enjoy the chapter, this was slightly rushed and is edgy(I think)

Training

And training

Until my body broke

Until I beat-

No

Until I kill that Beast

--------

"Hey, old man Tom." the young man spoke, his eyes looking at the Uma known as Hayate North.

"What kid?" The old man asked, his tone slightly annoyed. His eyes were watching as Hayate started his spurt to the finish line.

"Do you think he'll be able to transfer?" The young man asked, he was watching as Hayate ran past the 2 Uma's that were originally in front of him.

"With how he is currently," The old man let out a sigh. "He'll get their attention, that is for sure."

The 2 talked with each other as they watched Hayate run past the finish line.

"How many lengths was it this time?" The young man asked.

"Just about 5 lengths."

"That's the lowest he has gotten since he started going on a winning streak."

"Indeed."

"That's a weird way of speaking," The young man looked at old man Tom. "But either way, he is reaching his limit, right?"

"He is, you can tell from how he was running, it was rougher than how he usually does."

'7 wins in a row!'

'The New Beast of Kasamatsu!'

'HAYATE NORTH ON FIRE!'

'This isn't enough..'

'I need more..'

I was outside training again, newspapers in my hand as I ran. I read through what they were talking about. The news of my winning streak.

'I want more..'

I tightened my grip on the paper, I hated it, I wasn't the same as her. I wasn't anything like that, I shouldn't be compared to her.

'More..'

I let the paper fly away in the wind, I listened to the sound of it flying through the wind before picking up my speed. Feeling the wind rip apart as I ran.

Training constantly, destroying one's body.

If you aren't willing to kill yourself to win, than are you truly trying.

I was strong, I knew that. Compared to the racers in the regional's, I didn't really have much of a challenge when it came to racing. Earlier today, I read in a newspaper how some people were worried that I was over working myself, I wasn't though. In fact, I wasn't training hard enough. Even now, after everything, I haven't gotten their attention.

I just stopped trying in the races due to no one being able to really compare. Well...

Fujimasa March would be the only Uma in this place that could possibly provide a challenge but she was stuck in the past last time I saw her before her transfer.

I just hope that my actions have gotten their attention like they did with her.

---------

"Hayate, have you been training again." My trainer asked, her voice stern.

"Yeah…" I responded calmly before drinking the rest of the plastic water bottle. Seeing that it finished, I threw it into the recycle bin.

"I've told you to stop, you're training way too hard!" She yelled, the sound of her rising voice resonating in my ear. "Just the other day, I found you on the floor not even able to move your body!"

"Trainer…" I got up from the chair I was sitting on. "Understand that I am training to win."

"But with how-"

"I don't care." I said as I walked up to her. "I thank you for helping at the beginning but know that I wont stop until I reach Oguri Cap and defeat her."

I stared into her eyes, I knew my message got sent across when she wasn't able to look back.

"And what if your body breaks before you can....." she muttered, my ears easily picking it up.

"Then I was never meant to win." I said before leaving the room.

--------

"Hey....How has it been."

"It's been good."

"I recently got the news that you were accepted into tracen some time ago, right?"

"Yeah but its been a while since then, why you asking?"

"Are you training some currently?"

"No?.....Is it revelent?"

"....I have been training someone for a while now and.....they have talent that I wouldn't be able to fully grow....so I am asking if you can take him in."

"...a male uma....."

"Yeah"

"Well, since you're in the regional's, I'll have to ask permission but since your my cute sister, I'll of course try."

"....Thanks"

--------

"So you want to transfer this student into Central. Is that correct?" A brown haired Uma said, they were sitting in a large chair. The room they were in was large with a bookshelf near her desk which was filled with paper.

"Yes." The person in front of them said, their face hidden by shadows. They reached into a suitcase they had brought, taking out papers before handing it over to the brown haired Uma.

The brown haired Uma grabbed the papers with her white glove covered hands. She turned her attention towards the paper, her gazing falling onto the name on top of the paper.

"Hayate.....North....."

------

This was a shorter chapter than I wanted but I don't really know how to get him into Central so yeah. Either way, I am planning for the timeline to be a mishmash of different eras of racing due to me not being good at keeping track of it. I was originally going to have this as a Cinderella gray Fic but I wasn't good at keeping track with the timeline and messed up, or at least i'm pretty sure.
