"Whirr, snap!"
The silver cylinder spun, producing a crisp metallic clicking sound, then was slapped back into the gun body by Silas.
He pointed the revolver's muzzle at himself.
"What... what are you doing?"
Eyes slowly grew in Lanevus's eye sockets. As soon as he could see clearly, what met his gaze was Silas's current mad action.
Silas didn't answer, only wore a cold smile as he pulled the trigger repeatedly.
"Click, click, click..."
The sound of the revolver clicking on empty chambers echoed through the sewer. This insane action was clearly visible to Lanevus.
Even though his will had already been eroded by the evil god's offspring, he still instinctively felt fear!
He had to stop him!
Lanevus endured the residual pain in his abdomen and was about to struggle when he heard the revolver continue to make sounds:
"...Click, bang!"
Silas hit the jackpot.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
Although it was Silas who won, it was Lanevus who let out the miserable scream.
He clutched his head, wailing and convulsing like a live fish pulled onto shore, occasionally arching up on the ground, bouncing, and rolling left and right.
The "Aura of Agony" was still taking effect, causing the pain Silas felt to be simultaneously fed back to Lanevus.
Silas also felt unbearable pain in his head, as if the depths of his skull had been viciously stirred with a red-hot iron rod.
But seeing Lanevus's intense reaction, it was as if the other party was sharing part of his pain, and he felt much more relaxed.
He stood in place to recover for a moment.
After letting the injury to his head heal somewhat, he opened the cylinder again, ejected the shell casing, and loaded a bullet.
This time, he didn't load an ordinary bullet but a Beyonder bullet from his ammunition belt with intricate, complex patterns carved on its base!
Because the first time was hard to succeed, he had used an ordinary bullet to accumulate luck so that the next "spin" would give him five empty shots.
After making preparations, Silas once again pressed the revolver to his temple.
"Click, click..."
The crisp sound of the revolver's empty clicks echoed again.
Lanevus, who had still been convulsing, suddenly froze, then frantically fled in the opposite direction.
"Don't run."
Silas stepped on his back and sneered. "Didn't you want to eat me?"
"You're crazy! You're crazy!"
Lanevus shouted in terror, but he still kept hearing the sound of Silas pulling the trigger. Once, twice... five times!
The "Luck Spinner" revolver accumulated powerful spirituality at this moment, and the silver glow on its surface became almost blinding.
Silas lowered the revolver and was about to aim at Lanevus when the latter suddenly struggled free and escaped from under his foot.
"Wahhh..."
The foul, blasphemous baby's wail rang out once again. Silas's body swayed, and blood flowed from both his nose and eyes simultaneously.
The distant ravings from the True Creator at the top of the Sequence and the loud crying of the evil god's offspring right in front of him sounded at the same time, impacting his spirit.
Silas was dazed for a moment.
When he regained clarity, he found that Lanevus had already run out of the range of Agony's influence, and the originally gleaming "Revolver of Luck" had also dimmed somewhat, as if frightened by that cry.
Fortunately, it only slightly affected the results...
The powerful effect accumulated through luck on the revolver was still there. Silas directly raised the revolver, aimed at Lanevus, and pulled the trigger.
"Boom!"
An extremely loud sound issued from the revolver. The Beyonder bullet, which already had immense destructive power, was further enhanced.
Like a cannon shell, it precisely bombarded the back of Lanevus's head!
"Splat!"
His head immediately exploded, turning into countless spattering droplets of blood that splashed onto the sewer's walls and floor.
The headless corpse continued running forward for several steps before falling and collapsing on the dirty, muddy ground, no longer moving.
Silas stood in place, coldly watching the corpse, not approaching immediately.
Intuition told him that Lanevus wouldn't die so easily.
Their battle had been going on for a while, but no one had caught up yet. The Red Gloves might be caught in a hard fight.
That Mr. A was a Shepherd like himself, but compared to him, Mr. A had been a Shepherd for much longer.
His proficiency with the ability and the quality of the souls he shepherded must be much stronger than his own.
Sure enough, the headless corpse only remained quiet for a moment before it began to convulse.
"Pop! Splat!"
Lanevus's bloody skin split open with cracks, and then a blood-red body struggled free and emerged from inside.
Like a huge meat worm, what emerged from the headless shell was bloated and twisted, densely covered with countless ferocious human faces.
If you looked carefully, they seemed to be the agonized faces of those streetwalkers.
"Child, I will protect you..."
At the head of the meat worm, Lanevus's upper body could still vaguely be made out.
His abdomen still protruded, but without skin covering it, one could seemingly see a lump of flesh with the vague shape of four limbs.
At this moment, Lanevus was murmuring, saying something to the lump of flesh.
An intense and fearful aura spread out. It was the terrifying pressure that only the offspring of a deity possessed!
Damn it!
What the hell is this thing!
Silas couldn't help but curse in his heart.
Lanevus had been becoming increasingly twisted throughout the previous battle, and in the end, he had turned into this appearance, looking truly ferocious and terrifying.
A certain feeling that was both sacred and blasphemous, both mad and twisted, emanated from his body.
Perhaps all of this was because of the lump of flesh Lanevus held in his embrace, that thing suspected to be the evil god's offspring.
Because it couldn't be born and its vessel had been attacked by Silas, that thing could only transform the vessel in this way, and in the process, it too had become a twisted form!
"Wahhh..."
A clear wailing sound came from Lanevus's direction. The filth and corruption in that sound seemed almost tangible, making Silas feel a strong impact.
"My child, you're hungry too, aren't you?"
Lanevus said tenderly, then raised his head and looked at Silas.
"Riiip..."
On his skinless face, his mouth slowly split open to both sides.
"Boom!"
Silas instinctively sensed a threat.
He quickly dodged to the side and felt a surge of wind rush past him, followed immediately by impact and a loud roar.
"Crash..."
The sewer collapsed.
Lanevus's huge body slammed into the wall at the corner, and bricks and earth tumbled down together.
A rush of fresh air poured in. Silas looked up and saw a patch of black sky revealed through the shattered top of the sewer.
After metamorphosing into something inhuman, Lanevus's strength had increased tremendously. Looking at this massive monster, Silas's eyebrows couldn't help but furrow tightly.
How was he supposed to deal with this guy?
