I stared at the Goddess wondering about all of the questions I had for her. Somehow all of them escaped me for the moment.
"Don't worry so much," she said. "I know you have a lot of questions, but you will find you answers in time."
"Then why am I here?" I asked.
"A warning, maybe?" She stirred the water again. An image of Uchel's grandmother and uncle showed in the pool. "They seem to be kind, but they both have their own agenda. You would do well to go back to Bena as soon as you can, but it is too late."
Rainbow eyes stared at me. I could feel something stir in my chest. I could sense a future pain and suffering.
"I just wanted to let you know so that you might have more time. If you can avoid some of the danger, I will have succeeded."
"But what is the danger." The goddess shook her head.
