Gu Liang finally gathered the courage to walk across the room. Before he could reach Gu Yuxuan he was stopped short. His eyes widened slightly as a smile soon washed the tension from his face.
"Mr Feng", he greeted, stretching a hand forward. This was the person he looked forward to the most.
"Mr Gu", the man greeted back. "Congratulations. Your achievements are far exceeding you. Only good things can come from it."
Gu Liang looked down shyly. "Thank you. I didn't think Mr Feng would come today. I'm honoured to have you here. Please…", Gu Liang pointed to an open chair and they went to sit down.
Looking through the corner of his eye, Gu Liang noticed the gaze of Gu Yuxuan hadn't left him. The glass in his hands felt heavier as he resisted the urge to turn around.
"Mr Feng, last time we spoke about a collaboration. Is your attendance today somehow approving of it?"
