As dawn was breaking, Ehuang was sitting in the driver's seat barely able to keep her eyes open. Gu Yuxuan sat next to her observing every movement outside the police station. He had been patiently waiting for the first person to fall into his trap.
Either Wang Lihong thinking his son had betrayed him or Wang Renshu who might actually convince his father to confess. One of them would crack first. Then also Gu Lina. He knew after their discussion she would surely try to find out why he had suddenly shown an interest in her.
Everything was set. He just needed one move.
The silence was broken when the phone suddenly rang. Ehuang flinched, but went right back into slouching, realising it was just the phone.
It was Gu Yuxuan's penthouse number, and Gu Yuxuan knew it was Wang Renshu calling.
"Hm", he answered.
"How long will you keep me here?" Wang Renshu's voice came through the phone.
"Didn't I say you can go back later?"
"It's already the next day", Wang Renshu said tiredly.
