---

The feast had somehow still not ended.

Plates continued disappearing from the table at an alarming rate, most of them thanks to either Rimuru or Loki.

Shuna looked oddly happy every single time another empty plate appeared.

Gobta, meanwhile, was beginning to suspect monsters with names starting with "L" had bottomless stomachs.

Rimuru swallowed another bite before glancing toward Loki.

"…So."

Loki lazily looked over.

"…So?"

Rimuru hesitated for a moment.

Then asked carefully,

"…Why did you suddenly come here anyway?"

Loki leaned back slightly in his seat.

"The Orc Disaster thing."

The room quieted a little.

Benimaru's expression sharpened immediately.

"So you knew about it?"

Loki nodded casually.

"Of course."

He took another bite.

"That thing was created by a Demon Lord."

Everyone at the table stiffened.

Even Hakuro's eyes narrowed slightly.

"A Demon Lord…?"

Shion repeated quietly.

Loki hummed.

"Clayman."

The name left his mouth casually.

Like it wasn't important.

"Annoying little bastard."

Rimuru blinked.

"…Clayman?"

Loki nodded.

"He was the one pulling the strings behind the Orc Disaster."

A small shrug.

"And honestly, I felt pretty disrespected."

Rimuru frowned.

"…Disrespected?"

Loki pointed at him with his chopsticks.

"I clearly made you my subordinate."

Gobta almost choked in the background.

"And then this idiot still goes and attacks you anyway."

Loki clicked his tongue.

"…Rude."

The Hobgoblins collectively looked away.

Trying very hard not to react.

Rimuru forced out a nervous laugh.

"…Ahaha…"

'Please stop saying that part.'

"But it's fine now."

Loki smiled casually.

"I killed him."

Silence.

The room froze.

"…You WHAT?"

Rimuru nearly slammed the table.

Loki blinked.

"…Killed him."

Another bite.

"During Walpurgis."

Rimuru stared at him.

"…Walpurgis?"

"The Demon Lord meeting."

Rimuru felt his soul trying to leave his body.

'HE WENT TO A DEMON LORD MEETING!?'

'AND KILLED A DEMON LORD THERE!?'

'WHAT KIND OF SCALE IS THIS GUY OPERATING ON!?'

Meanwhile—

Benimaru and the others had gone pale.

Because Loki wasn't bragging.

That was the terrifying part.

He said it the same way someone would casually mention stepping on an insect.

Loki glanced at Rimuru again.

"But you did well."

Rimuru blinked.

"…Huh?"

"You've gotten stronger."

Simple.

Direct.

"You're still weak compared to me obviously."

A grin.

"But compared to before?"

He nodded slightly.

"…Not bad."

Rimuru scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"…Thanks?"

Loki rested his chin against his hand.

"Though if you actually want to beat me one day…"

A small smile formed.

"…You should probably ascend into a Demon Lord first."

Rimuru immediately shook his head.

"No thanks."

Shion nodded aggressively beside him.

"Exactly."

Benimaru folded his arms.

"We have no intention of becoming monsters that slaughter people."

Loki blinked once.

Then laughed.

Just amused.

"You guys really misunderstand Demon Lords."

Rimuru frowned slightly.

"…Do we?"

Loki nodded.

"Some are insane."

A pause.

"Some are monsters."

Another pause.

"And some are surprisingly normal. Like me."

Rimuru immediately thought:

'There is nothing normal about you.'

"But regardless."

Loki's tone became a little calmer.

"If another Demon Lord had found Tempest before me…"

His eyes flickered slightly.

"…You would've been in real trouble."

The room quieted again.

Because despite his casual tone—

Nobody doubted that statement.

Then Rimuru suddenly realized something.

"…Wait."

He looked up.

"…Loki-sama. Did you seriously come all the way here just to see me for that?"

Loki immediately looked offended.

"First of all."

He pointed at him again.

"Drop the -sama."

Rimuru blinked.

"…Huh?"

"It's weird."

Loki clicked his tongue.

"We're brothers."

Rimuru did not know how to respond to that.

Loki continued anyway.

"And second…"

He leaned back.

"I actually came because I need you to do something for me."

Rimuru immediately became wary.

"…What kind of something?"

Loki rested his cheek against one hand lazily.

"There are some kids at Freedom Academy."

"…Kids?"

"They've been overexposed to magicules."

Loki's expression became slightly more serious.

"If they don't receive proper spirit hosts soon…"

A small pause.

"…They'll die."

Rimuru's expression changed immediately.

"…What?"

"I already handled the difficult part."

Loki continued.

"I got Demon Lord Ramiris to agree to provide spirits for them."

Rimuru nearly twitched.

"…Another Demon Lord?"

Loki ignored that.

"So I want you to go deal with it. You won't go alone."

Rimuru pointed at himself.

"…Me?"

Loki nodded.

"You."

Rimuru stared blankly.

"…Why can't you go?"

"I'm busy."

Instant answer.

"…Doing what?"

Loki took another bite of food.

"…Stuff."

Rimuru narrowed his eyes.

"That sounds suspicious."

Loki grinned.

"It is."

Rimuru sighed deeply.

Then paused.

"…Wait."

His eyes narrowed again.

"…You said I won't go alone?"

Loki nodded casually.

"I've got a surprise for you."

Rimuru immediately felt nervous.

Because with Loki—

The word "surprise" felt incredibly dangerous.

But Loki had already returned to eating.

Conversation over.

Completely over.

Rimuru stared at him for several seconds.

Waiting.

Nothing.

'…So he really has no intention of continuing this conversation.'

Rimuru sighed internally.

'I guess I have no choice.'

---

The atmosphere inside the hidden chamber was heavy.

Like something fundamental had collapsed.

Clayman was dead.

The seat he usually occupied remained empty, the silence surrounding it making the reality all the more irritating.

Footman slammed both hands against the table.

"That damn Loki!"

His voice shook the room.

"I'll kill him!"

Beside him, Tear's expression was equally ugly.

Her usual playful demeanor was nowhere to be seen.

"He killed Clayman…"

Magicules leaked unconsciously from her body, distorting the air around her.

"We should go after him right now."

Across from them, Laplace sat with his mask tilted slightly downward.

Quiet.

Too quiet.

Which only made him more dangerous.

"…Loki."

He spoke the name slowly.

Almost thoughtfully.

Then his fingers tightened slightly.

"…So that's the monster who did it."

Kagali sat nearby, her expression cold.

Unlike Tear and Footman, she wasn't blinded by emotion.

Which was exactly why her mood was even worse.

Because she understood what this meant.

Clayman had not simply been defeated.

He had been erased.

Humiliated before the entirety of Walpurgis.

Killed so casually that the balance of power among Demon Lords itself had shifted.

Yuuki sat beside her, arms crossed as he listened quietly.

Inwardly, he was annoyed.

Very annoyed.

Not because Clayman died.

Clayman had always been expendable.

No.

The real issue was the one who killed him.

Demon Lord Loki.

An uncontrollable variable.

A monster impossible to predict.

Yuuki remembered their previous interactions clearly.

That smiling face.

That ridiculous strength.

That unsettling ability to do whatever he wanted.

People like that were dangerous.

Very dangerous.

Tear looked toward Yuuki.

"So what now!?"

"We can't just let this go!"

Footman nodded aggressively.

"Exactly!"

Laplace finally spoke again.

"We take revenge."

Simple.

Killing intent filled the room instantly.

Kagali closed her eyes briefly before speaking.

"…Not now."

Footman snapped toward her.

"What!?"

Kagali's gaze sharpened.

"You saw what happened at Walpurgis."

"Nobody there could stop him."

Her voice remained calm.

"Charging blindly toward a monster like that would just get all of us killed."

The room quieted slightly.

Because no matter how angry they were—

Nobody could deny it.

Yuuki finally spoke.

"We'll get revenge."

Everyone looked toward him.

Yuuki's smile was calm.

Controlled.

"But we do it properly."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Against someone like Demon Lord Loki…"

A pause.

"…One mistake means death."

---

Far away from the hidden meeting of clowns and schemers, an entirely different kind of disaster was currently happening.

Milim Nava descended from the sky like a meteor.

BOOM.

The ground outside Loki's castle exploded outward as she landed.

Several demons nearly jumped in fright.

The castle doors burst open shortly afterward.

"LOKIIIIIIII!"

Milim's voice echoed throughout the entire area.

"I came to play!"

Inside the entrance hall, Testarossa calmly placed down her teacup.

"…She's here."

Beside her, Carrera sighed.

"That was fast."

The two Primordials stepped outside together.

Immediately, they bowed slightly.

"Welcome, Milim-sama."

Milim barely acknowledged the greeting.

Instead, she rapidly looked around.

"Where's Loki!?"

"I escaped from Frey!"

Her expression became horrified.

"She keeps making me study!"

Testarossa blinked once.

"…Study?"

Milim looked genuinely traumatized.

"She makes me sit still for HOURS!"

Carrera actually looked sympathetic.

"That sounds terrible."

"It IS terrible!"

Milim cried dramatically.

"She says things like 'You are a ruler now' and 'You need responsibilities' and 'Please stop blowing up mountains when bored'!"

Testarossa covered her mouth politely.

Carrera looked away slightly.

Both of them were trying not to laugh.

Milim suddenly became panicked again.

"Hurry!"

"She might catch up to me!"

Testarossa composed herself.

"Loki-sama isn't here at the moment."

Milim froze.

"…Huh?"

"He left to visit someone."

Milim puffed her cheeks immediately.

"Who!?"

Testarossa smiled softly.

"Someone Loki-sama considers his brother."

Milim blinked.

"…Brother?"

Carrera nodded.

"Rimuru-sama."

Milim tilted her head.

"Who's that?"

"A slime."

"…A slime?"

Milim looked even more confused now.

Testarossa nodded calmly.

"They are currently in the Jura Forest."

Milim's eyes widened instantly.

"Oh!"

Then she grinned brightly.

"I'll go too!"

Before either Primordial could say another word—

BOOM.

Milim blasted into the sky at terrifying speed, vanishing into the horizon almost instantly.

The shockwave shook the entire castle.

Silence followed.

Then Carrera snorted.

Testarossa smiled elegantly.

"…Poor Rimuru-sama."

Carrera laughed.

"He's about to suffer."
