Chapter 268 - Chapter 265

After months of observing the wizarding world, enjoying quiet study and research on Horcruxes, Dumbledore finally glanced at the newspapers. Headlines screamed Voldemort's return, Fudge's fall from grace, and scandal after scandal in the Ministry of Magic. A knowing smile crept across Dumbledore's face. Someone orchestrated this with precision… but they are not the master mind behind Voldemort.

Dumbledore's mind raced. The planning, the writing, the subtle manipulation—it all bore a familiar signature. It feels like… Darius Valvas. But the brilliance, the uncanny foresight, and the ability to stay three steps ahead of every faction? That was not Darius. Then a thought struck him, a guess forming in the back of his mind. Could it be… Roy Valvas?

Determined to see for himself, Dumbledore returned to Hogwarts, heading straight to the Principal's Office. Approaching the gargoyle at the entrance, he muttered the old password, "Hotpot."

The gargoyle blinked and shook its head. "Incorrect."

Dumbledore chuckled softly, trying again. Still wrong.

Finally, the gargoyle gave him a knowing look and muttered, "The password now… is Yaksha."

The massive stone door creaked open, and Dumbledore stepped inside. There, he found Roy Valvas, seated at the principal's desk, writing letters and reviewing reports. The room smelled faintly of parchment and a hint of magical residue from recent enchantments.

"Sit, Professor Dumbledore," Roy said casually, gesturing to a chair. "I made sure to have some treats for you." He handed over a plate of delicacies—Dumbledore's favorites. A small, genuine smile appeared on Dumbledore's face as he began sampling the sweets.

Meanwhile, the portraits of previous Hogwarts principals and the Sorting Hat whispered and teased, recounting the sweeping changes Roy had made:

Implementing quarterly, half-yearly, and annual exams.

Dividing the years into two groups to optimize teaching.

Increasing Quidditch matches for each house.

Introducing scholarships to reward high-achieving students.

Dumbledore listened, amazed and delighted. "This… this is what the students needed," he thought. "They will be strong, knowledgeable, and capable of defending themselves. Making Roy principal… it was the right decision."

Roy, meanwhile, leaned back in his chair, calm and composed. He casually explained the reasoning behind each change, from academic restructuring to the increased Quidditch schedule, showing foresight that far surpassed ordinary administration.

Dumbledore's eyes sparkled with a mixture of pride and curiosity. This student, this young headmaster… he is doing what I could only hope to guide others toward.

As they enjoyed the treats and discussed Hogwarts' future, Dumbledore realized something profound: Roy Valvas was not just a brilliant strategist—he was a protector, a visionary, and already shaping the wizarding world in ways few could comprehend.

And for the first time in years, Dumbledore felt completely confident in leaving the students—and Hogwarts itself—under Roy's capable hands.
