Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: A Name Reborn - Bela White

The golden light of morning streamed into the Valvas family's upper chambers as Roy extended his hand, a soft glow forming in his palm.

Within the Ope-Ope Domain, silver runes swirled gently around Bellatrix's body, illuminating her skin like starlight.

"Ope-Ope no Mi — Rebirth Surge."

The energy pulsed once — and then again — before fading like mist.

When Bellatrix opened her eyes, she gasped softly. The reflection in the mirror beside her was not the gaunt, haunted witch from Azkaban or the dungeon — but a young woman in her prime, twenty-one years old, with radiant skin, sharp violet eyes, and long dark hair that shimmered like liquid silk.

She raised a trembling hand to her face.

"This... this is me? I— I haven't looked like this in decades..."

Roy smirked slightly, arms crossed, voice teasing.

"Well, you're definitely not the haggard woman I found locked up in the dungeon. You actually look like a beautiful woman now."

Bellatrix's cheeks turned crimson in an instant.

"Y-You insolent little brat!" she stammered, torn between fury and embarrassment. "How dare you—!"

Roy only laughed softly. "You're welcome."

Despite her protests, Bellatrix found herself unable to suppress a faint smile. There was something about Roy — his calmness, his unshakable confidence — that made her heart stir with something she hadn't felt in years: hope.

Later that day, Roy sat at his desk, elegantly crafting forged documents with the help of his family's extensive magical network. The parchment glowed faintly as royal seals from the Ministry and ancient wizarding records appeared one by one.

When he was done, he handed the papers to her.

"These are your new identity documents. From today on, Bellatrix Lestrange is dead."

He smiled warmly.

"Your new name... is Bela White — a twenty-one-year-old orphan under the protection of House Valvas. You'll serve as part of our household."

Bellatrix — no, Bela — accepted the papers, her fingers trembling slightly. "Bela White..." she repeated quietly, as if testing the sound of her new name.

A small, almost fragile smile crossed her lips.

"Thank you, Roy. Truly."

Roy's golden eyes softened. "Don't thank me yet. You still have to meet the family."

The Gathering of the Valvas House

The grand hall of House Valvas was alive with laughter and chatter.

Alex Valvas, Roy's father, and Jessica Valvas, his mother, sat beside Darius and Clara — his grandparents — while Grayfia Lucifuge, Venelana Bael, Rem, and Ram stood nearby, curious about the mysterious guest Roy had brought.

When Roy entered with Bela beside him, every head turned.

The young woman's elegance and presence were undeniable; her posture was regal, her beauty disarming.

Roy clapped his hands once, grinning playfully.

"Everyone, let me introduce someone special. The beautiful woman before you... is the idiot who once asked me to kill her!"

Bela froze mid-step, face flaming red.

"R-Roy Valvas!" she shouted. "Stop calling me an idiot in front of everyone!"

Roy tilted his head innocently. "But it's true, isn't it? She's also the haggard woman we all knew as Bellatrix Lestrange — though that name is gone now. From today onward, she's Bela White, a member of House Valvas."

For a heartbeat, the room was silent — and then laughter erupted.

Alex chuckled into his tea, Jessica covered her smile, and even Grayfia's stoic expression softened with amusement.

Venelana giggled elegantly behind her hand.

Rem and Ram whispered to each other, amused by Roy's boldness.

Bela's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "Y-you're all laughing—! I wasn't— I mean—!"

Finally realizing how flustered she sounded, she took a deep breath, straightened her back, and bowed slightly.

"My apologies for my... manners earlier," she said gracefully. "My name is Bela White. It's an honor to meet you all. I hope to serve House Valvas with loyalty and pride."

Clara smiled warmly. "Welcome to the family, dear. You've already brought us quite a bit of joy."

Roy leaned back in his chair, smirking faintly.

"See? Not so bad being alive, is it?"

Bela glared at him — but this time, there was no real anger in her eyes.

"You're impossible, Roy Valvas."

Roy smiled. "You'll get used to it."

And as the laughter continued to fill the hall, Bela White — once Bellatrix Lestrange, the dark witch feared by many — finally felt what she had long forgotten.

A place she could call home.
