Chapter 39 - Chapter 39. Path of Reform

After settling Fiora and Hanna's accommodation, Link then took out the two remaining books from the lottery draw and the uniquely charming carian knight sword from the system.

This sword was truly striking; its hilt was like a sapphire, sparkling with a faint blue light in the dim illumination, as if mysterious power lay dormant within it.

Link reached out and unfastened the scabbard from his waist, slowly drawing the ordinary knight sword he originally wore.

Placing the two side by side, a quick glance showed they were roughly the same size.

But when he held their hilts in each hand and weighed them, he could detect the difference; the carian knight sword was noticeably heavier.

However, compared to the overly heavy dragon-slaying sword, the carian knight sword was much lighter.

The dragon-slaying sword, Link could only store in the system space for now; if he carried it on him at all times, he would be out of breath in no time.

Comparing the two, this carian knight sword was undoubtedly more to his liking; holding it in his hand, it felt as if it was custom-made for him.

In contrast, the ordinary knight sword now seemed too light.

"From now on, you will accompany me."

Link extended a finger and gently flicked the blade.

Instantly, the sharp, cold-gleaming blade emitted a crisp hum, a clear and pleasant sound, as if responding to Link's approval.

Link's lips curved slightly, and he contentedly returned the carian knight sword to its scabbard.

As for the ordinary knight sword, he found an exquisite sword stand and placed it steadily on the cabinet next to the bookshelf, giving it a resting place.

Finally, Link's gaze fell on the two books. He gently picked them up with both hands and began to turn the pages.

From now on, he would become a knowledge porter.

Link planned to organize and categorize the important knowledge mentioned in these two books one by one, then hand them over to Kim Mi-jung to contribute to the development of Winterfell City.

Thinking of this, Link immediately spread out paper, ground the ink, and began writing rapidly.

Normally, he didn't feel time pass quickly, but once he got busy, time flew by like a white colt, gone in an instant.

If Della hadn't prepared lunch and brought him a bowl to remind him not to overwork himself, he wouldn't have known it was already noon.

He thanked Della, then devoured his lunch like a whirlwind, finishing it as quickly as possible.

After the meal, Link didn't even rest for a moment. He immediately picked up the organized materials and strode towards the busy Kim Mi-jung.

Kim Mi-jung's desk was piled high with various documents.

And next to those documents, her untouched lunch lay quietly.

Link saw that the food in the bowl was perfectly intact, and the hand he was about to use to hand over the materials unconsciously withdrew.

"Lord Link, are you going to give me these materials to process? Why did you take them back? Hurry and let me see them."

Kim Mi-jung raised her eyes and asked softly, her tone clearly betraying a sense of fatigue.

Kim Mi-jung must have been busy from morning until now.

"Eat first, be good."

Link did not comply with her words. Instead, he gently pulled the documents from her hand, then stood up, pulled her from the chair, and sat down himself.

"You go ahead and eat your meal in peace. I'll handle these documents for you for now. It's not too late to continue working after you've eaten your fill. This is an order." Link's expression was serious, his tone brooking no argument.

"Alright, I'll listen to you."

Kim Mi-jung smiled helplessly, then obediently picked up her bowl and chopsticks, sat on the nearby sofa, and began to eat heartily.

"Now that the new government system is just established, many officials are newly appointed and dare not make decisions easily when facing difficulties, so they report to me and ask for my opinion. My workload feels much heavier than before."

"That's natural, after all, many people are newly promoted and lack experience. Once they learn and gradually figure out how to handle affairs, it will naturally become much easier later," Link comforted.

"By the way, My Lord, what kind of matters are these documents you're giving me about? Let me take a look..."

Kim Mi-jung said as she took the materials Link brought, flipping through them while eating.

The materials contained a rich variety of content, from agricultural planting and vegetable cultivation to the construction of mortise and tenon structures for houses, from livestock breeding and disease treatment to herbal identification, almost covering all aspects of life, all-encompassing.

"I specifically organized this knowledge, Kim Mi-jung. Afterwards, you hand these materials to the people in the corresponding fields, let them learn and comprehend first, and then widely publicize it and teach it to more people in Winterfell City. This way, everyone can master these practical skills and better build Winterfell City."

"Okay! I understand!" Kim Mi-jung nodded vigorously, saying nothing more.

She clearly understood that the knowledge contained in these materials was of extraordinary significance.

As long as this matter could be handled well, allowing more people to master these skills, Winterfell City would surely usher in a transformative change!
