The car drives out of the office parameters or area onto the main street, the visibility was low occasional sounds of thunder can be heard. Then detective Verus notices a car breakdown on the side of a road and a family in it while what looks to be a father trying to fix the car. Yet detective Verus was busy thinking about the case in their hands. The car turns to a smaller road yet it was a well of neighborhood, with clean and big houses nestled in the stormy night. Then the car stopped the engine rush to a halt there the house on 467 riverbed street.
The moment detective Verus and assistant detective Enzo opened the car door and lock the car they were greeted by a sight. Multiple dead corpses and bodies and blood and viscera everywhere. Bodies were laying on stairs and floating on the fountain.
"..." "Should've bought some double shot espresso before this case" said detective Verus his eyes darting at the viscera and carnage that token apon this place. The stench of blood is very overwhelming that detective Verus but his hands covered with gloves on his nose.
Detective Verus glances at the police on the scene, policeman was shaken and some even retreated to the car only a spare still stayed strong with this scene of carnage. Then detective Verus glances at a policeman he was sitting on the brick pavement shaken, and covering his mouth like he was about to vomit. Detective Verus reaches into his trench coat and takes a paper bag with his gloves and gives it to the policeman. "Here vomit in here..." said Detective Verus to the policeman as he takes the paper bag.
The police man releases the contents of his stomach on to the paper bag, as Detective Verus sits beside the policeman patting his back. "Don't forget to throw the bag and you know what..., in the right place" detective Verus said while pointing his pair of gloves at a nearby trash can.
Detective Verus walks to the direction of assistant detective Enzo ascending the steps, and seeing him on the front door of the mansion. He walks closer to his assistant while assistant detective Enzo was talking to a senior and experienced police officer.
Assistant detective Enzo felt a tap on his shoulder it felt like a gloved hand, then assistant detective Enzo turns his head back to see detective Verus. "Hey let's go..." said detective Verus with a solemn voice. Detective Verus then walks inside the mansion front door, "you heard the man, officer Clement" said assistant detective Enzo to the experienced police officer Clement.
The mansion was a horrible sight to be seen. Though the floors, ceiling and pillar were decorated with intricacy, gleaming with gold and a sense of royalty. Blood had been spiled here the floor was covered with splats of blood the air itself had a bloody smell. Countless of bodies were lying on tables chairs and floor dressed in expensive elegant clothes.
"God... what happened here" said detective Verus with calculating yet solemn expression, his face had a tint of fear. "Pull yourself together detective Verus.... w-we have a case in o-our hands" said assistant detective Enzo with a shaky voice as if he was hiding the fact he was also shaken by the horrid sight.
Some rushing footsteps can be heard, people with sterile clothes was cleaning, this horrible sight. Their boots was even sterile as it hit the ground, some of them have blood stained their white protective suit while their respirator protect them from the smell.
With some of the men laying the countless bodies to rest in body bags.
But even when detective Verus, assistant detective Enzo and police officer Clement, were all very shook by the event, their resolve for this case was not shaken by a bit. The group stepped deeper into the mansion.
Blood and carnage awaits them deeper inside the mansion, and in the dinner table of the mansion, a corpse of a boy was sitting limp on the dinner seat as blood was splattered near him. Yet they did not stop for a moment, they were focused on the case and it looks like just another death in a sea of carnage.
When they arrived in the back of the grand mansion they were greeted in the pool area, it's walls, floor, and the water was tainted with a red hue of blood. Some dead bodies of men, woman and even children, lay or float around the vicinity of the pool.
". . ."police officer Clement remain quiet assessing the mass casualties around the pool. The smell of iron and blood fills the air.
Then detective Verus takes a turn walking and encountering a small courtyard with brick floors and bushes surrounding the white spotless walls now tainted with blood. In the end of the courtyard stands a statue of a person. The face of the statue has been defaced, then detective Verus glances at the inscription on the pedestal of the statue, 'forced to kill' written on it.
"Hmmm" detective Verus is thinking and pondering then he sees bloody prints on the brick floor to the wall. Then detective Verus walks closer to observe the bloody prints, it has seen to went over the wall, and there was stench of a metallic odor leading over the wall.
"Veru-" "We need to check outside" detective Verus said while cutting of Enzo.
Detective Verus walks outside beyond the mansion gates and doors, while assistant detective Enzo and police officer Clement follows suit. Then detective Verus takes a turn to another street of the neighborhood.
"detective Verus where exactly are we going ?" said police officer Clement with a confused tone that laced his words. ". . ." detective Verus reply was silence as he picked up the pace of his walking speed.
Finally they arrived at the back of the mansion wall and the mansion itself, there the walls was also tainted with a red hue of blood and that same faint smell of a metallic odor.
". . ."
"We are here" said detective Verus.
