Lee Yun Jin sat in her room, staring blankly at the photo of her and Kim Sol. She had poured her heart out, and Sol couldn't even give her an answer. The rejection stung, but what hurt more was the fact that Sol didn't feel the same way.
Tears streamed down her face as she remembered the look on Sol's face - confusion, guilt, and...was that pity? Yun Jin's heart twisted in pain. She had thought they had a connection, but maybe she was just a fool.
The doorbell rang, breaking the silence. She wiped her tears, hoping it wasn't Sol coming to reject her in person. She didn't think she could handle it.
It was Kim Minjun, standing at her door with a sympathetic look on his face. "Yun Jin, can I come in?"
She nodded, and he walked in, sitting down beside her. "You're better than this, Yun Jin," he said softly.
She looked up at him, tears welling up again. "I love her, Minjun. Why doesn't she love me back?"
Minjun's expression softened, "Love isn't something you can force, Yun Jin. And Sol...she's complicated."
Yun Jin's eyes dropped, "I know. I just wish..."
Minjun's voice was gentle, "You'll find someone who loves you for who you are, Yun Jin. Someone who'll make you feel like you're home."
His words brought fresh tears to her eyes, but this time, they were mixed with hope
