Chapter 2 - Testing the Space

The night was deep, the wind sharp as a blade.

Luo Jin stepped out of the alley—

then the warning tone sounded in her mind.

"Alert! Dangerous presence approaching from behind!"

She turned.

Feng Yu stood tall, black robes melting into the dark,

his eyes sharp enough to cut through lies.

"Who are you?" His voice was low.

She tilted her chin.

"That's not a very polite tone."

"You're alive. That is my politeness."

"Would you like me to die again to please you?"

He smirked—and moved, blindingly fast.

But Luo Jin was faster.

A flick of her fingers—

the air rippled, and light swallowed her whole.

He grasped nothing but empty air and lingering fragrance.

She was gone—

standing now in her space villa.

Marble floors gleamed; a hover-car rested on the terrace.

Everything sterile, precise.

"Xiao Ling, start external scan."

"Beep! Alert! Feng Yu is tracking your energy signature—attempting to break through space barrier!"

"…He can do that?"

"Uh-huh~ he's really curious about you!"

The light screen trembled—

and suddenly, a dark silhouette tore straight through the barrier.

Silver blade gleamed in his hand.

Feng Yu stood in the middle of her modern villa, eyes cold as steel.

"You hide well."

"Breaking into someone's home—impolite."

"Your home?" He glanced around the glass and steel.

"What is this place?"

"A place that brings the dead back to life."

His gaze darkened.

He stepped closer, nearly chest to chest.

"Then what are you—a goddess or a demon?"

"Whichever you prefer."

He chuckled near her ear.

"If you're a demon, I'd like to test your charms."

Her face didn't change.

She touched his chest with a finger—

his whole body stiffened.

"Relax. Not poison," she murmured. "Just neural paralysis."

He couldn't move, but he smiled.

"Crueler than poison."

"A healer saves—and kills."

"Xiao Ling."

"Here!"

"Expel him."

Light flashed—and Feng Yu vanished.

Outside, he blinked, back at the alley.

"My lord! You disappeared!" gasped his guard.

Feng Yu raised a hand, expression unreadable.

"She's no ordinary woman."

Inside the space.

"Host… affection +12%! He's showing intense interest!"

Luo Jin lounged on the sofa, scrolling lazily.

"Interest and exploitation—thin line."

"So… you'll reject him?"

"Of course."

"But host, your face is red♡"

"Recharge for three hours."

"Uwaa fine~"

Silence returned.

Outside the villa window, the stars shimmered.

She whispered,

"Feng Yu… don't make me interested."
