Among the four of them, Lyric probably carried the heaviest guilt when it came to Soren.
Deep down, he knew that from the very beginning he had given Soren something the others never did and that is hope.
Even if it had only been a small and fragile one, Lyric had allowed Soren to believe that he might be different from his brothers… different from the prince and yet in the end, he had only proven that hope wrong.
Now lying on the narrow bed inside the inn, Lyric could only let out a long groan of frustration as he stared at the ceiling above him. His mind refused to rest while constantly replaying the memories he would rather forget.
The image of Soren crying in front of him returned vividly especially the way his eyes had been red and trembling as he asked, with a voice full of confusion and pain, about why Lyric hated him so much.
