I stepped out of the medium sized house with tan tiles and concrete walls with scattered windows. This truly was the house of a family who is well off in the village. I searched through the memories that were downloaded into my brain when I arrived at this place and I realized that Rika is going through a hard financial time, it seemed that Kita played an important part in the financial state of the family.
Rika must be reaching into some type of emergency fund to keep this place that is in the heart of the village, along with the money she gets from being a ninja.
I look up and I see the mountain with all the Hokage's faces carved into it. Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato. Directly under that is the Hokage's building where the Hokage works out of.
The radiant sun is shining down onto the village with lush verdant trees waving in the wind. I take a deep breath of the air of this new world, which smelled sweeter than it ever did in my world. This world, although dangerous, is a new opportunity and I will take advantage of it.
I walk on the dirt road into the village which I navigate with my memories. I see different villagers walking and carrying various things. Some seem like laborers, some look like they're just going for a leisurely walk, and others are ninjas.
Since this is a ninja village there are many ninja walking around. Most of the ninja I can pick out because they have the green flak jacket on with the village's signature headband on their head or other various places. Some don't have the jacket but the hand band which marks them as genin in my mind, most of those are young.
As I walk towards the library I also see the damage from the NIne Tails attack from a year ago. Houses are still under repair but most of the important buildings are already rebuilt. Men and women alike are working together to revive the village back to its former image. Even though that was a true tragedy, even losing the current kage, the village appeared to be more unified.
I arrived at the tan colored building and entered the library. Multiple rows of books shelves lined my vision, some traditional books and others appeared to be more scroll-like.
I looked to my left and walked up to the clerk who was currently doing some paper work.
I spoke to the first person I have talked to in this world, although the language was different I was able to perfectly speak it due to this body's natural fluency.
"Hello, do you have any books available about chakra and how to use it?"
The clerk looked up from his work. This was a middle aged man with thin wrinkled lips that made him look like he was in a perpetually bad mood. His low eyebrows also didn't help him in that regard.
That man hummed and nodded his head "Go to section E, it's on the left side 4 rows back from the wall."
I nodded and went to go and find the books on this topic.
Under his breath the man said "Another young one wanting to learn the way of the ninja, that Itachi really inspired a generation."
I went to the section and found many books on the subject of chakra. I picked the ones that seemed to be the most useful for me at this time. One was a book about the basics of chakra, another was about the basic applications of chakra, and the last one was on using chakra control. These seemed like the most beneficial things to read about at this time.
I also looked around for books on physical training aimed towards young children. I don't know how chakra affects the development of children and whether or not they can train heavily without stunting their growth. I found a study done by a ninja who mainly focuses on research on the subject.
I checked these four books out and headed home.
After arriving back home it seemed like my mother still wasn't back from work even though the time was already approaching six in the afternoon.
"I suppose as a ninja you don't have a set time you're going to be out everyday, she could even be out on a long term mission right now."
I put the books in my room and on my desk. I first felt like I should eat first so I went downstairs and cooked a quick healthy meal. It was easy since the only thing in this house seemed to be healthy food.
One thing I will have to prioritize is this body's development so I will try to eat as healthily as I can.
I went back upstairs and began my studies.
The first book I focused on was the study on the effects of training in children with chakra vs without chakra in terms of development.
The book honestly had some really fascinating findings that even I found a bit shocking.
The study found that children who actively practiced the use of chakra - as in circulating, molding, and controlling it had almost no developmental damage in the years that followed. As a matter of fact it was the exact opposite. The ones that practiced chakra and trained extremely hard saw a boost in their development. This was also taking in factors such as environment, nutrition, and stress. The children who didn't practice with chakra but trained hard saw an obvious decrease in development under the same parameters.
This was shocking, it seems like chakra was a miracle energy in the body that made it so the development of the body becomes boosted. That does make sense actually. A lot of children, especially in the Third Great Ninja War were sent to battle fronts and when they came back home were subjected to even tougher training. Those ninjas that came out of that war were some of the best of their time. I think that most people knew that chakra did this but this study really just made it a fact.
"Intresting.. So as long as I practice and use chakra my development won't be in jeopardy, that makes sense when you look at someone like Rock Lee who's whole life was training. I can really go as crazy as I want then. The only issue there will be my mental capacity for extremely hard training. I've never really trained in my life so I hope it goes well… I'll probably go back to the library and look up some exercises I can do. Not having the internet really sucks, I could just look this stuff up back on Earth."
I immersed myself into more reading and I moved onto the other books on chakra.
I grabbed the book "Basics of Chakra" and I looked at who wrote the book.
My eyes widened and I said "Wait.. Isn't this..!"
