At the Palace, Elder Marianne stared at the device in her palm, satisfaction curving her mouth upward.
"Ashley, we must craft a believable reason for your position in the Royal wing. Audrey's situation cannot be revealed to anyone yet," Marianne instructed her sister.
Hours passed before Marianne and Ashley made their way toward the Royal wing, Ashley's possessions gathered and ready. They had chosen to address multiple concerns at once, taking advantage of the fact that only a small number of servants had reported for duty while the majority were still en route.
"Greetings, I am Elder Marianne. This woman is Ashley, your Head Servant. She will handle your inquiries, and should additional guidance be required, she has direct access to me," Marianne announced. She motioned for the servants to accompany her toward their designated living spaces.
The servant accommodations occupied the Palace's ground level, complete with dedicated stairs providing access to the Royal wing.
