Chapter 39 - Chapter 37

Back to current time

Hiruko, looking at the scroll he found under the thunder god sword, began to read it.

{Diagram of the recreation of the Thunder God Sword with the water chakra as the crux

As I've been creating this new ninjutsu, Water Severing Wave, I had the thought of breaking down the Sword of the Thunder God that I found in a ruin when looking for the Touska Blade and Yata Mirror since it seems like those damned Uchiha have been seeking them.

Anyways then using water as the crux instead of lightning; however, I have run into a problem.

Which is that there is no way to increase the pressure of such a jutsu without a source to contain it and force it out.

I am researching possible jutsu to instead add to an existing blade to increase cutting power, but again, an inability to increase pressure stops me.

However, the fact these two things I am trying to develop will work great against those cursed Uchiha and their fire techniques keeps me going.

Sadly, Izuna is dead; otherwise, it would have been fun to use these against him and see him squirm like when I first created Flying Raijin.

Here are notes on what I know and have developed so far.

Hiruko, reading this scroll, decided not to comment on Tobiram's words on the Uchiha and instead focused on the other things he mentioned.

And sadly, he didn't know how to feel about them.

On one hand, he was ecstatic to find a possible way to create a sword on the level of the Sword of the Thunder God.

And a possible new jutsu if he could find Tobirama's notes on it, but on the other hand, he knew nothing about creating swords, and this is a path uncharted by others, that he would need to personally carve it himself.

Sighing slightly, Hiruko tucked the scroll in his sleeve despite the fact that doing either of the things detailed in this scroll would be difficult.

Any chance to increase his power was welcome. Not only that, but he had to lead by example since he was the one who told Naori that she couldn't fear an uncharted and untapped path; he had to do the same.

Hiruko, as he continued looking around, only saw blades of all sizes surrounding the walls, but none of these caught his eye since Miyuki was already more than enough for him.

Eventually Hiruko passed a box of random jewelry; in it were hundreds of necklaces and bracelets. He lazily mixed around the various things, seeing if anything caught his eye. Aside from a few pretty rings and bracelets, Hiruko saw nothing noteworthy.

As he was about to turn and leave, a necklace in the box caught his eyes, which widened in surprise as he turned back abruptly, immediately grabbing it and holding it in front of his eyes.

The necklace had a small black cube hanging from it, but what caught Hiruko's eye was the symbol engraved on it.

It had a black shuriken-looking symbol, with each point going in four different directions with a big hole in the middle.

In between each point was another shuriken symbol; this time they were white, and lines extended from them.

'The Otsutsuki Clan' Hiruko thought in surprise, wondering where this came from and how it got in the Senju's possession.

'There have only been 6 Otsutsuki here, only two being directly from the clan, so the real question is which of the two left it?' Hiruko thought as he dissected this cube's origin.

Immediately, Hiruko injected his chakra, left the room, and stopped in front of Chigiri's patient figure, who was waiting.

Holding up the necklace, Hiruko asked with curiosity and urgency, "Chigiri, where did this necklace come from?"

Chigiri, looking at her master ignoring his weird outburst and actions as the curiosity of a child, simply responded, "I believe it was a gift from the Roran Kingdom, who received it from a small clan in the west, the Namikaze Clan. Though the specifics I have no knowledge of." Chigiri said expressionlessly,

'Roran kingdom? Could it be connected to the dragon vein? and the Namikaze…' Hiruko thought as he recalled both the kingdom and the clan.

'Not much is known about the Namikaze, only that they produced one of Konoha's greatest talents, but weirdly Chigiri makes it seem like the clan isn't from Konoha.'

Hiruko, slightly confused at the possibility the Namikaze possibly didn't originate from Konoha, dug deeper.

"So the Namikaze don't belong to Konoha or any village," Hiruko asked.

Chigiri responded, "No, they're much like the Hatake clan; they have less than 10 members, though their history goes back way further; it is said to be one of the first clans to come in contact with the sage of six paths. Not wanting to loose their clans history and autonomy. They opted to instead become allies much like the Uzumaki " she said simply.

Hiruko, hearing this, was noticeably surprised; the Namikaze, despite being Minato's clan, was only even mentioned as simply being a civilian clan.

"Do you know what it is exactly?" Hiruko posed excitedly it was like he was unraveling a mystery.

But to his dismay, Chigiri simply shook her head, responding, "No, all I know is it has some seal engraved on it that Lady Mito tried for a long time to unseal but eventually gave up on."

'Damn, even Mom couldn't find out what it was.' Hiruko thought, Mito was one of the greatest sealers; if even she couldn't, then…

Sighing, Hiruko put the necklace around his neck. Who knows, he might just find a way, plus this was from the Otsutsuki Clan; who knows what it holds, and he was kind of curious to find out.

"Okay, then, thank you, Chigiri. I left the crates of Ninja tools I need by the. Door, do you mind taking them to the training grounds?" Hiruko asked.

"Of course, young master," Chigiri said, bowing before disappearing.

Hiruko, back in his room, twirled the cube necklace in his hands before sighing, letting it fall back to his chest, and opening the scroll on the shadow clone jutsu.

(Almost everyone knows the shadow clone jutsu, so I'm not going to waste time explaining it.)

After reading it, Hiruko thought to himself, 'If I had to put my chakra somewhere, I'd say high gennin or very low chūnin, so theoretically I should be able to create at least one clone reliably, right?'

Hiruko thought as he stood up, forming the hand signs and mobilizing his chakra. Immediately he felt a drain, almost half his chakra disappearing in an instant.

"Dang, this chakra drain is ridiculous," Hiruko said, and with a puff, another stood beside him, its face completely white and two extra hands extended from its elbows. Looking at his subpar clone, Hiruko released the technique, and with a puff, it disappeared.

Feeling his chakra nearly gone, Hiruko couldn't help but shake his head. "I got just enough Chakra to try once more," Hiruko said as he formed the seals again, imagining his form in its

entirety.

With a puff another Hiruko appeared again, its form seemingly perfect. Hiruko smiled slightly, looked at his clone, and said, "Hi me," with enthusiasm, but what came out of the clone's mouth took all that previous happiness away.

The clone opening its mouth revealed a foot extending from it, and on the foot was a small mouth. The clone looked like a cursed demon.

"Hi m—" the clone started to speak, but Hiruko, disgusted, quickly released the technique before flopping onto his bed, as he was pretty much drained of chakra.

Hiruko, lying comfortably on his bed, took a deep breath before saying internally, 'System, install Sanji's genetically modified exoskeleton.'

As soon as those words were spoken, Hiruko felt an intense pain as if his body was being broken apart and put back together.

He wanted to scream, but the sounds wouldn't come out. For 10 minutes this continued until he passed out.
