Chapter 32 - "The Unusual Foster Of Partiality"

Cleyn ran towards Blayne with full speed but Blayne was focused towards other direction.

He saw that another figure in a black suit was approaching him, none other than Mr Fletcher.

Cleyn and Blayne stood there face to face.

Blayne's eyes got a red shade out of nowhere, indicating being controlled.

"Hi buddy." Cleyn said while offering a handshake.

This time Blayne didn't respond to Clayne nor shoke his hand.

He stood there focusing on both Cleyn & Fletcher with sharp eagle eyes.

"Hi Blayne. How are you doing?" Cleyn asked again.

Still no response from Blayne.

They couldn't look each other in the eye, it felt like foes meeting each other.

Although they were in bad terms before this as well but this was pretty unlikely to not look each other in the eye.

Blayne was looking with a serious look at Cleyn but didn't utter a single word.

Cleyn felt a strange aura around Blayne something sounding really off.

Blayne and Cleyn stood close to each other but they were not exchanging any speech.

Fletcher approached them closer and closer

In a few seconds, he was standing next to both.

It felt like they were standing at the throat of each other.

Fletcher cleared his throat, often trying to initiate a talk.

Cleyn cleared his throat too trying to ease the situation.

Blayne was only breathing heavily.

Fletcher said with a smile; "What's the matter? You both don't seem to go hand in hand."

"Nothing much. Maybe he is not having a good day." Cleyn responded with a smile too.

Blayne stood silent for a while then finally spoke after a sigh: "It's a bad life overall. And secondly stay out of my task."

"What kind of task? Did you forget the plan?" Cleyn said with a side eye.

"That's none of your concern. Stay back." Blayne said in a sharp tone.

Cleyn twisted his face even more, looking surprised.

"Are you okay? What happened to you in the hospital?" Cleyn asked, keeping his cool.

"Stop asking me everything like you are my wife. I don't owe an explanation to you." Blayne said, trying to leave after this.

Cleyn held Blayne by the shoulder, interrupting him from moving away.

"Relax gentleman. Chill off." Fletcher finally spoke after a while, a huge grin appearing on his face.

"Who are you?" Blayne said, jerking Cleyn's hand away.

Cleyn turned around quickly, with the intention of hitting a punch but he didn't.

"I am no one at your level certainly but I am levels above you." Fletcher said again, the smile getting more creepy.

"Don't scare me with your bullshit. Try scaring the kids away with that face." Blayne said, looking Fletcher dead in the eye.

Cleyn looked at Fletcher to whom his face seemed completely normal.

"Since you are not scared, I would like you guys to settle the deal with some dares." Fletcher said with a smile.

"I have other works to deal with." Blayne said walking off.

"I know what you are here for and who send you." Fletcher said with a smile.

This shook Blayne and the controlling Wolfur inside him.

"Do you? Really?" Blayne said instantly turning around.

"Yeah. Face the answers tonight at my palace you two." Fletcher said and with this, he left them both.

Blayne after a small pause left too towards the north direction where Belton family was resting.

Cleyn walked exactly towards the opposite side of Blayne.

........

The same night, Cleyn kept going through the streets.

He felt it really weird to see that the ambulance had not arrived but still the body of the fat man went missing.

Cleyn felt really fishy after exploring the area more and more ahead.

Soon, he saw another figure approaching him as he was investigating home after home.

He was unable to see it afar so he started running after it.

It faded off in the fog which started increasing all of a sudden.

After a while Cleyn continued the search looking left and right.

A hand touched the side of his chest.

He suddenly turned out trying to counter hit but stopped midway after realizing that it was a female.

It was Quilia, trying to control her tears and shivering badly.

She was carrying two backpacks.

Cleyn got shocked for a second but after realizing that the weather was getting cooler, he took off his coat and gave it to Quilia who was standing there in the tactical red spy gear.

He didn't even utter a word as he saw that she was struggling with herself so he took her directly to one of the houses where the door was missing.

After a while, Quilia was unable to move ahead on her own so Cleyn turned around and picked her up.

A evil smile came on the face which went hidden beneath her long hair.

Cleyn put her on the bed in one of the rooms and went outside to see what she was carrying in her bags.

Cleyn looked deep into the bag to see the camera he gave Quilia to take the photographs in those abandoned areas but sadly there was no footage present.

Cleyn also found a briefcase whose pin was only known to Quilia.

Another question that surrounded his mind was the wherebouts of Antokio.

As multiple questions started to entangle Cleyn more and more, he heard a voice coming from inside the room.

He rushed into the room to see Quilia sitting on the bed, weeping with her head lowered between the legs.

Cleyn decided to talk to her in a peaceful and calm way.

Before he could start a talk, Quilia started speaking mid crying; "Sir. I am sorry I failed you."

"It's okay Quilia. Don't worry we will sort another way out. We will get to the bottom of this." Cleyn said, trying to comfort her.

"Nothing can be sorted now." Quilia said, but this time in a devil tone.

"Quilia?" Cleyn said, getting alarmed.

"Yeah sir." Quilia said lifting her head up, crying with a smile.

"Are u okay?" Cleyn said, approaching near her.

"Yes sir I am fine but I am afraid this is a bad news for you." Quilia said with a sad expression.

"It's okay. Share it out." Cleyn said sitting beside her.

"So sir. For the task you gave me I failed to find Blayne neither find the other entity beside his escape." Quilia said crying deep but little did she knew that these words were dictated in her mind by Wolfur.

"It's okay I found him in this town." Cleyn said smiling at her.

"Secondly, there is a ruling against you in the high court. Your second wife wants to take a divorce so she sent me these papers to sign." Quilia started telling fabrications.

The bag she brought alongside her were the property papers to one of Cleyn's apartments.

Somehow Quilia was able to convince Cleyn to sign all these papers.

Before that, Cleyn was given a tea which was intoxicated so that Cleyn wouldn't be himself.

That way Quilia also wrote some of the deepest secrets out from Cleyn which included some of the personal information for a testimony.

After completing her task, she immediately left the house and finally the town.

Cleyn on the other hand, felt asleep.

There were many questions roaming around the area bout how & why all this was occuring and where Quilia went after Fletcher confronted him?

Eventually only Fletcher knew the answers so he planned the final answers at the confrontation ahead between Blayne and Cleyn.
