After resting for the night 💤 next at first Ray of light if you took a look from the sky you could see two radiating with energy small dots moving everywhere, orders being giving gear getting put on and some taking their breakfast 🍳 and others making sure that their weapons are well prepared and everything at its place an hour later rows of soldiers of each moving out to their designated position on the side of Damien you could feel and see that's these soldiers are well trained, disciplined and organised.
On the other end of the spectrum Dylan was divided to almost three group's the first one is the cavalry we'll disciplined, with a clear hierarchy but most importantly they were will equipped they all have Armor,lancea long sword or a mace and a shield 🛡️, second groupe where the pirates the quality of their equipment varied from good to mediocre depends on the groups they belonged to and also pirate usually use light armour after all they used to fight in the sea as for land it's usually a hit and run tactics looting those fishing villages close to the sea but you could tell they were veterans from the way they acted and their ferocity at same time any person who now anything about an army will tell they are more of a gang of killers than army as discipline is almost any existent the only thing making them follow orders is the fear that theirs superior will kill them right there to make an example and the idea of looting their enemy after the battle and rewards promised to them from that noble third is mix bag of guard of the city and levies gathered from the town or the surrounding villages by force,threat and fear of hurting their families if they don't comply and a bunch of slaves donate by the merchant to city as for equipment the guards were will equipped but their numbers where at the hundred at best for the rest they where armed with iron made small swords,daggers,spears at best as for armour if you combine four or five you may barely scrape them together to get a poorly made a set of armour from all of them.
An hour or two later the two facing armies where neatly positioned and organised en the surface but underneath it those pirates may not like standing for a long time as for the legionnaires they used that time to build some makeshift fortifications like digging a small ditch in front of them hindering the charge and sticking some wooden sticks points at their enemies these disturbing their formation.
Right at middle from both them for the first time their leaders who hated eachother will meet isn't ironic that two people who their mere existence threaten the other and will cause the death ☠️ of thousands will their first face to face talk.
The first to speak was Dylan he said:' a salute baron Damien of Tuscany I hope you like it here'.
Damien responded:' hi to you to as for liking who doesn't like his home but If weren't for a rat 🐀 everything would have been right hhhh'.

After hearing what he said Damien made look like he was considering it but then started talking:' you are really delusional I f you think a we leave a viper resting where I sleep a will rather burn this territory and let in other race rule it than giving knighthood as for saving lives from what I have heard your main force are pirates and personal cavalry both have nothing to do with me and this land will be their grave 🪦 as for the hundreds of levies if the surrender or flee I will spare them now ride back to your line so we can end this farce'.
Dylan was not believing what he heard he only offered this terms out of respect and fear to the Pendragon clan their is now way that will army loose after all he has a clear advantage in cavalry and since antiquity no army has one of they don't have a strong cavalry but this is also good this way he can get more land and from time to time keep chipping at the baron territory until he confine him to Stonehenge this making a baron in all but name.
All he has to do then wait for this Damien to die from old age since is well known that he can't cultivate as for home he is close to become a grade two life form even now he has a lifespan of four hundred years this without using any vitality persevering technique.

Then he turned started going back to his army with his escort and Damien doing the same not believing that's he got him after all he could have just said no but he needed to irritate him so that he was sure will attack after all he outnumbere him and an attack isn't the best choice so hunkering down behind the makeshift fortifications is there best chance at winning so he rode back behind his l army and went to a slightly elevated land from where he can easily survey the battlefield and a tent 🎪 for him was pitched .
Meanwhile as Dylan returned to his army he called for his subordinates first directing Francis to launch the attack first using the infantry will start marching towards the other side as slow as possible before ordering them to charge the enemy then he told setrauther to lead the bigger detachment of cavalry comprising of one thousand in a flanking manoeuvre to the right while the other cavalry unit made of five hundreds man will charge at left flank Thus eliminating in hope of their enemy to retreat as for this unit will be lead by the new captain of pirates who joined him .
On the other side Carl was making preparations for the flanking attacks that will surely come while at it scout come with new information and said:' lord the cavalry has split to two detachments the bigger one seem to be doing a flanking to our left and smaller one to our right'.
Hearing this Carl Fastly started barking to his stuff orders to implement which will take us to composition of Damien army first it's made of three battalion called respectively first second and third battalion the last two are made of just six companies due to manpower constraints but for this battle they will be the main force facing the infantry charge as for the first battalion will station two companies to either side to face the flanking as for the other three companies two will join the main line as reinforcement while the last one will be hold in reserve after that he went out of the tent rode his horse as it was time to lead this battle from the frontline like stabilising morale with his presence or ordering a timely reinforcement when the battle started no sooner he heard the horn 📯 of marching sounded and the other side started moving toward them he shouted and amplifying his voice with aura :' hold steady man and the day is ours'.
The legionnaires responded by banging their shields ""bombombomb"".
Thus the battle started.
