Chapter 197 - The Second Heroic Spirit Servant and the Grimoire

After discussing the follow-up matters, the old king left with his son.

Sitting in the car on the return trip, the young prince turned his head to look back at the Virtual Company gradually receding into the distance, lost in thought.

"T'Challa."

"Father."

T'Challa looked respectfully at his father.

"You were right. The times have already changed."

At this moment, the old king no longer carried the same imposing authority he once had. Looking at his only son, he let out a quiet sigh.

"I've decided to return. I'll leave matters here in your hands. When the war is over… you must prepare yourself to become king."

"Father…"

T'Challa's voice trembled slightly with emotion, as though he wanted to say something. But after noticing the trace of exhaustion in his father's eyes, he could only bow his head obediently.

Given the old king's health, if nothing unexpected happened, he could easily remain king for another fifty years.

The only reason he would choose to abdicate early was that he believed his ideas and abilities were no longer suitable to continue leading Wakanda.

On the other side, after seeing the King of Wakanda and his entourage off, Shen He did not rush to handle his own affairs. Instead, he remained seated in the reception room.

He was thinking about Wakanda's future position on this Earth.

The "prophecy" he had mentioned earlier might have been fabricated, but it was still a future that could genuinely come to pass.

After all, vibranium possessed immense potential, and T'Challa would become a powerful and decisive king.

"Coulson…" Shen He spoke slowly after pondering for a moment. "T'Challa has a cousin named Erik. See if you can locate him. Don't alert him—just keep him under surveillance."

"No problem, sir." Coulson smiled and nodded. "It seems the director has finally learned how to make use of agents."

"Haha." Shen He chuckled softly. "I just feel like I should learn how to be a proper leader."

"Well," Coulson said, "from the perspective of those of us here, you've always been a trustworthy leader."

This wasn't mere flattery. In just a few short months, what Shen He had accomplished had given these agents a bright future that even the former S.H.I.E.L.D. had never been able to offer.

"That's because Master has been growing." Jeanne's eyes curved into crescent moons as she turned to look at Shen He. Her pleased expression made it seem as though she herself had received the praise.

If anyone felt genuine joy over Shen He's growth, it was Jeanne.

To the Saint, "the Master's growth" was the greatest responsibility of a Servant.

"Alright, this 'leader' of yours should get back to work." Shen He felt slightly embarrassed by their praise, so he stood up and prepared to attend to his duties.

Wakanda's appearance caused quite a stir across the world.

Among T'Challa's subordinates were clearly people skilled in manipulating publicity.

First, they hired internet promoters to spread Wakanda's official declaration of joining the war across major media platforms, using the topic "A poor African country also wants to fight aliens" to spark discussion among netizens.

Finally, they openly submitted an "application for entry of a space battleship" to the U.S. government, completely igniting the topic.

The U.S. government spokesperson even agreed in a joking tone.

The more people mocked them now, the more jaws would drop when the truth was revealed.

The core of public opinion manipulation lay in stirring up the public's emotions. Wakanda's goal was clearly to make a sensational entrance, leaving a deep impression on people's minds. Whether that impression would be good or bad was something to deal with later.

After realizing Wakanda's intentions, Shen He chose not to interfere.

He had little interest in watching others show off. At the moment, there was a more important task: buying time to prepare for a counterattack.

According to calculations, it would take at least ten days to construct a vibranium-based space battleship capable of carrying everyone to the enemy mothership.

Meanwhile, the Chitauri's wormhole stabilization device would likely be completed in about six days.

In other words, they needed to destroy it around four to five days after construction began.

Undoubtedly, they would face desperate resistance from the enemy.

"We don't need to waste Chaldea's headquarters support opportunity," Steve said while staring at the three-dimensional image of outer space. "At this distance, Saiki should be able to teleport our forces there directly. Tony, can you make a weapon that can quickly destroy those devices? We send a small team in, blow them up, then come back."

"No problem. These aliens are terrible when it comes to armor technology." Tony nodded. "I already have something suitable—just need to modify it a bit. But structures like that need to be destroyed at several different points. Blowing up just one section won't do much."

The Chitauri hadn't built the wormhole stabilization device entirely from scratch.

They had clearly prepared many components in advance. What they were doing now was merely assembling them.

"In that case, we'll send only a few of Chaldea's people," Shen He agreed with Steve's straightforward plan. "I'll decide the team. Tony, you'll also need to make some breathing devices for use in outer space with a few performance requirements. The rest of you stay on Earth in case the Chitauri launch a counterattack."

"I'm going too." Thor placed a large hand on Shen He's shoulder. "I won't let you fight alone."

"Thor," Shen He said helplessly, "no matter how far away Chaldea's members are, I can summon them back to my side instantly. As long as Saiki and I stay together, there's no need to worry about everyone returning."

"I can stay by Saiki's side as well." Thor's expression was firm. "This war was caused by Asgardians. I can't hide safely in the rear."

"…Alright." After thinking for a moment, Shen He finally nodded. "But you have to promise you won't act recklessly."

"Of course. I'm not the same man I used to be." Thor gave Shen He a big grin.

In truth, Shen He had already noticed the change in him during their time together. Though Thor could still be a bit foolish at times, he was no longer as reckless as before.

After finalizing the plan, everyone went to prepare.

Shen He also determined the demolition team.

There were six detonation points.

He, Saiki, and Thor would handle two of them.

The others were Jeanne, Accelerator, Violet, and Schwi.

Among them, the only one who caused concern was Violet.

However, previous battles had already proven that even alien weapons couldn't break through the defensive field of the IS armor. As long as she had sufficient energy, Violet could rampage freely. Combined with her exceptional combat instincts and unmatched control over the IS armor, she was actually more suitable for this mission than people like Shiki or Misaka Alter.

Before departing, however, Shen He had one important thing to do.

Perform a gacha summon.

Because on the final day before the mission, he had just accumulated thirty summoning stones.

Normally, it felt like there were already many Servants—his castle was full of lively people every day.

But when the moment of truth arrived, he realized they were still short-handed.

After all, many Servants weren't suited for combat.

Besides, the probability of summoning was the same whether he did it early or late. If he summoned earlier, he could also strengthen them sooner.

Having made his decision, Shen He didn't waste time. He didn't even bother gathering everyone around like before.

After dinner, he returned to his room, rubbed his hands together, and prepared to start the summon alone.

He used the standard banner.

Servants from the mechanical banner were powerful, but they consumed too many Mechanical Hearts. Having Schwi alone was already expensive enough to maintain. Right now, what he needed more were strategic-type Servants.

Mechanical Servants were mostly obedient but rarely good strategists.

Looking at the summoning interface before him, he directly pressed Ten-Pull Summon.

For some reason, Shen He suddenly felt like he was secretly wasting money behind his wife's back after his hands got itchy.

After a tense wait, he didn't get an SSR Servant—but a five-star equipment appeared.

Name: Nameless GrimoireOrigin:OverlordEvaluation: One of the World-Class Items. It records every magic in existence. Even newly created spells will automatically appear within it, though the user must meet certain requirements to use them.

Another treasure from that world.

Shen He's attention was immediately drawn to the heavy book.

So far, every item from Overlord had possessed effects almost like reality modification. This wasn't surprising. That world had originally been a game that became reality—essentially game programming directly influencing the real world. Combined with the system's solidification effect, strange, unexplainable results were inevitable.

And this book, categorized as a World-Class Item, actually recorded magic.

Shen He took it out of his inventory.

From its appearance alone, it carried the extravagant style typical of games—luxurious beyond comparison. The dark-gold cover bore flowing patterns that constantly shifted. Seven gemstones embedded within it shimmered with mysterious light, moving with the patterns to form profound designs.

Simply staring at it produced a strange sense of attraction, as if it contained the truths of the world.

Magic…

Shen He felt a surge of excitement.

As a Master, he possessed immense magical power—but until now it had only been used to strengthen Servants.

He had assumed he would need to summon a magic-specialized Servant before learning magic himself.

But now that he had drawn this book… could he learn magic ahead of time?

With anticipation, he slowly opened it.

The first page was blank.

Then a thought flashed through his mind, and lines of text appeared—written in standard Chinese—forming an entire table of magical categories.

Even the index alone was enormous, and extremely detailed.

White Magic.Dark Magic.Chaos Magic.Black Magic.

Besides those broad categories, there were many branches named after various gods.

Shen He carefully examined them one by one. Though he didn't understand most of them, he wanted to rely on his strong memory to imprint them into his mind.

Suddenly, when he turned to the third page, his expression froze.

Under his fingertip was a line of text:

Vishanti System.

It was a branch within White Magic.

Shen He recognized the name. Strictly speaking, Vishanti wasn't a single deity but a trinity of ancient gods. The famous Eye of Agamotto belonged to that pantheon.

Many people knew that Doctor Strange's Time Stone was named after the Eye of Agamotto.

A bold idea formed in Shen He's mind.

To confirm it, he opened the Vishanti magic section.

Sure enough, one of the diagrams depicted the portal seen in the films. Other spells such as The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak and The Sword of the Vishanti were also listed.

However, some spells were locked due to unmet requirements.

This wasn't magic from the Overlord world.

It was Marvel's magic.

Recalling the system's description of the item, Shen He suddenly formed a daring hypothesis.

Perhaps wherever this book was taken, it would automatically record the magic of that world.

If that were true, it could be considered a super bug on the same level as Saiki Kusuo.

Right now, the entire magical system of the Ancient One lay in his hands. There were also hellish magics represented by the Ghost Rider, and possibly others scattered across the universe.

To be honest—

Shen He was already preparing to show off.

He had struck gold.

With this book alone, the draw had been worth it. Even if the rest of the pulls gave nothing, it wouldn't matter.

With that thought, he decisively pressed the Ten-Pull Summon button again.

Then he ignored the summoning screen and continued studying the magic in the book.

He focused mainly on Doctor Strange's magic system.

Its essence was using the mind to connect with energy. Beginners required a tool called a Sling Ring to establish and guide the connection, while masters could abandon that limitation entirely.

They specialized in manipulating dimensions and space, influencing mind and will, which was why they could remain hidden among ordinary people.

Just reading the overview alone felt like opening the door to an entirely new world.

"Ding. Congratulations, Master. You have successfully summoned a five-star Servant: Semiramis."

Who?

The system's notification abruptly pulled Shen He's attention away from the book. After a moment of processing, overwhelming joy surged through him.

A five-star Servant!

But who exactly was that again? The name sounded Western. Shen He vaguely remembered it but not very clearly.

If the Servant rejected him, that would be terrible.

Just as he worried about that, he suddenly noticed a familiar summoning interface slowly appearing in the air before him—identical to the one in the system.

The familiar sight instantly made him understand.

This time, he had summoned a Heroic Spirit Servant, just like Jeanne.

And the one who stepped out from the summoning circle…

Was a breathtakingly beautiful woman wrapped in a black dress, exuding a decadent and languid aura.

"Servant, Assassin—Semiramis." She lazily glanced at Shen He."Now then… prepare a throne first. We can talk afterward. If there's no throne… well, I suppose you can serve as the chair."
