Chapter 74 - Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

"They're captured Hydra members," Shen He descended from the sky. "Tony, go check the base. There should still be Inhumans trapped there. I'll handle the interrogation here."

"Alright."

Tony spoke the single word curtly, taking one last look at the twins before flying off.

He had a very uncomfortable feeling. Although it was something to be proud of to be hated by enemies, the looks they were giving him were filled with a desire to skin him alive and devour him. It was beyond mere differences in stance.

"Your Majesty Black Bolt, please wait a moment," Shen He said with a smile to Black Bolt. "We already know about the rebellion that occurred in Attilan, and our promise to you remains unchanged."

"Thank you very much," Black Bolt gestured with his hands. "Please, just use my given name. I will always remember Chaldea's assistance."

"Then I'll gladly accept, Blackagar. These two shouldn't be Inhumans, right?" Shen He gestured at the twins.

Although this world didn't have mutants, not everyone with extraordinary abilities was an Inhuman. After all, it was also a world where extraordinary powers easily appeared.

"They don't have the characteristics of Inhumans." Black Bolt shook his head. "We'll need to compare, but even if they did, Attilan would not harbor criminals."

Hand gestures are difficult for expressing complex concepts. Shen He guessed that the comparison Black Bolt meant was a genetic comparison, as Inhumans possess unique genes.

"It seems you don't have diplomatic immunity." Shen He turned to face the twins, a smile playing on his lips, the meaning unclear.

Quicksilver, Pietro, reached out and firmly shielded Wanda behind him, while Wanda clutched tightly at Pietro's arm, her expression tense.

Their personalities were immediately apparent. They also seemed far less mature than they were portrayed in the movies, looking no older than sixteen or seventeen.

"Who's in charge at that base?" Shen He asked directly.

However, Pietro simply stared at him stubbornly, saying nothing, his gaze even laced with mockery.

"Baron Strucker?" Shen He murmured, then followed with a rapid series of questions, "Where did he run off to? You don't know? Did you see a fat guy named Garrett? You did? Do you know where Garrett ran off to? Secret base? Where's the base?"

Throughout the entire process, the twin siblings didn't utter a single word.

But Shen He answered everything, one by one.

Wanda finally reacted, turning her head to stare at Kusuko Saiki with a face full of terror.

She hadn't felt any mental power invade her mind. If Kusuko could still see her thoughts, then either this girl was so powerful she could intrude silently, or she was so strong that she could even capture the tiny, insignificant thought fluctuations radiating from her brain.

Either way, it was far beyond her own power.

Because she possessed it, Wanda understood the terror of mental power better than anyone else.

"Cooperate, or I'll turn your intellect into that of a three-year-old," Kusuko Saiki's voice entered their minds directly, using a calm tone to deliver her threat.

"On a small island at sea, called Tahiti, it doesn't exist on any map," Wanda finally spoke, her fear evident.

"What's going on?"

Shen He touched his chin, wondering if he looked that intimidating.

"I intimidated them a little."

Kusuko Saiki's voice appeared in Shen He's mind.

"You've learned how to intimidate people!"

Shen He widened his eyes, looking at her.

"It's nothing. It wasn't Kusuo Saiki who intimidated them, it was Kusuko Saiki. She's only filling in for a day." Kusuko Saiki was expressionless. "Leaving a deep impression on Kusuko Saiki is good for future discipline. Also,

We need to pursue them as quickly as possible. After Garrett achieves his goal, Coulson will no longer be of use to him." Kusuko Saiki knew quite a bit from Shen He's thoughts.

For example, the twins weren't actually enemies, and Shen He had a plan to deal with them.

"How far away is that base?" Shen He asked Wanda.

"Very far... We'd have to go around almost half the globe."

Wanda curled up, shivering. She felt the helplessness she'd experienced when her parents died.

She and her brother had been buried under rubble for two days, with a missile bearing Stark's name in front of them, ready to explode at any second. At that moment, all they could do was stare at the name in absolute terror.

Shen He noticed Wanda's expression but didn't say anything.

These two were likely suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It was useless to say anything right now. He'd "treat" them properly after dealing with the current situation.

"He," Tony flew over from a distance. "All the experimental data inside has been deleted. We didn't find anyone who looked like the leader, but there were traces of a fighter jet taking off. Did we come too late?"

"It's not too late."

Shen He explained the current situation.

It seemed they had wasted precious pursuit time dealing with those annoying ordinary troops.

"Jarvis, calculate a pursuit plan, and simultaneously use the satellites to search for nearby fighter jets along this route." Tony immediately began preparations. "Send a message to Pepper, have her bring my modified private jet over. The remaining energy in the armor won't allow me to fly this distance."

"Black Bolt." Shen He pondered for a moment, then looked at Black Bolt. "Do you know Crystal's situation?"

"Lockjaw brought me here, then disappeared." Black Bolt gestured. "But I encountered those who came to pursue me, and from them, I learned that Crystal also escaped."

"In that case, we split up." Shen He quickly made a decision. "Tony, use your method to pursue them at the fastest speed. We will go find Crystal. Lockjaw should be with her. If we find her, we'll teleport directly over. Then, contact Steve and have some agents come over to protect the Inhumans here. They need a hot shower and a hearty lunch."

Perhaps even Shen He himself didn't realize it.

He was already, subconsciously, letting Chaldea do what S.H.I.E.L.D. should have been doing.

Chasing criminals and protecting the innocent.

"Alright, let's go." Tony shot straight up into the clouds.

The other side hadn't been gone for long. If they could locate the target, it was still possible to catch up within a short distance.

"How should we find Crystal?" Black Bolt asked. "Perhaps I could be bait, lure those who come to capture me, and see if they know Crystal's whereabouts."

"No need to go to that much trouble."

Shen He shook his head, turning to face the Servants returning from the battlefield.

"I have Jeanne."

If Crystal had escaped, she wouldn't have gone far from Black Bolt. The closer she was, the stronger Jeanne's intuition would be, making it easy to find her.
