Alex was very excited since now he had acquired a Grade four Spiritual Root.
He wanted to upgrade his Spiritual Root once more upto Grade five however seeing the consumption of the system points made his heart bleed. It required a total of eighty system points but he only had a total of hundred and ten system points. If he upgraded the Spiritual Root then he will be left with only thirty system points. Which may not be enough to buy other good things from system store.
Furthermore, he already possessed a Grade 4 Spiritual Root, and no one should be able to match his current rate of cultivation. He next looked into the cultivation realms, but he reasoned that since he had just been awakened for two days and none of the university students had begun cultivating, starting now may raise suspicions, and he really did not want anyone to find out about his system. Therefore, before beginning the cultivation process or selecting any cultivation method or body technique, it is preferable to wait a while and keep a low profile.

Girls always liked shopping and besides the boss was asking for it so she complied and agreed to go on shopping with him.
They reached a high end shopping mall which displayed many luxury brands. They went to a corner of the mall which displayed a certain brand which was one of the most expensive brands of clothing in Black Rock City. It had a selection of tailored suits, jackets and leather jackets, printed shirts, men's sweaters in cashmere and fine yarns. He selected a pair of each to have a collection. He also bought some for Elizabeth like skirts with a sartorial cut and contemporary fabrics, finely embellished dresses, jackets after all she had accompanied him here and he did not have any shortage of money now. So he would only gain if he spends some money on such a fine and kind lady like Elizabeth.
Elizabeth said "Thank you Master but seriously there was no need for all these."
Alex said "Its fine Elizabeth."
In the meantime, Luke and Monica had also visited this mall to shop.
Luke said "Hey! Monica do you like this dress? I would like you to try this one."
Monica said "I do not want anything from you."
Luke's face became red with anger after all he was already giving her enough face by bringing her here and treating her with shopping. He just wanted her to act normally with him. After all she was his girlfriend for now in the school. She was the only one with a Grade three Spiritual Root and no other girl could match her.
Though last night he had forced himself on her and made her feel like she was his slave but to maintain his good image outside he wanted her to act normally.
But Monica was furious with Luke. Luke had literally pushed himself on her last night, so he never expected him to treat her that way. Yes, she initially consented, but he never paid attention to her denial. Alex would have taken care of her and never mistreated her if he had been present. Yes, Alex was poor, but he was also extremely well mannered and cultured. In addition to being attractive and cute, he excelled academically. She spent so many years with him because of this.
Luke on the other hand was heavily built with bulging muscles and very domeenering and treated her like she was a slave of his. Though she also had a Grade three Spiritual Root which was the same as Luke but he threatened her to destroy her cultivation and with his connections he would make her life hell on this Black Rock city and no other faction will take her to practice and teach her a cultivation technique.
If she did not have a cultivation technique then there was no point in having a Grade three Spiritual Root as she could not start her cultivation journey.
Luke said "Are you trying to refuse me? Do not forget that your life is in my hands now. So if i said to try this dress then try consider this your good luck that i am gifting this dress to you."
Monica did not had any choice so she said "Sure let me try then." and took the dress from Luke and went on to try. Just as she turned around to go to the trail room she spotted Alex which surprised her.
Monica thought "Is that Alex? No he can't be here. How could he afford to buy clothes from this mall?"
She then took a closer look and discovered that this was solely Alex. He was obviously familiar to her, and she wondered why he was here. Did he excuse himself as a delivery boy and follow her as he had done the night before? If that's the case, what will be his justification today? Or is it that he lost his job and was hired by this mall after Luke complained about him? Yes, that ought to be the case. He was merely carrying out his duties here, not making any purchases.
Just has she was contemplating Luke said "What are you doing standing there are you going to try it or not?"
Monica said "Ah Yes ofcourse but see there is Alex present over there."
Luke could not believe that Alex would be here however he looked towards the direction Monica was pointing towards and found yes indeed it was Alex.
Luke said "Why is Alex here in this Shopping mall?"
Luke was already annoyed by Monica, and now he saw Alex at the supermarket. Was he attempting to pursue them once more? His gaze was filled with rage.
He went ahead to confront Alex and Monica followed him from behind.
Luke said "Hey you are you still stalking us. I warned you last time not to follow us."
Alex was also surprised seeing Luke and Monica there as he was also not expecting them. But he remained calm as he was not here for them and besides his situation was very much different from before.
Alex said calmly "Why would I need to follow you? I am just shopping here and minding my own business and you mind your own business."
Luke asked "Are you serious? This is no place for a loser like you. Are the items in this mall even affordable? You disregarded my earlier warning to stay away from Monica and me, so be prepared to be physically assaulted."
Alex said ""Who do you think you are? Every citizen has the right to shop here in the Black Rock City shopping mall."
Luke had already checked that Alex has voluntarily resigned from his previous working place from the restaurant so how could he even afford to buy merchandise from here so he said "Okay if so then you must have bought something right. Show me what you have got."
Alex showed the things he got which were for himself and Elizabeth which amounted to almost a hundred thousand dollars.
Luke said "Okay so i want to see if you can pay for this."
Alex calmly went and paid the bills which surprised Monica and Luke as they wondered how he had so much wealth.
Luke said "I don't belive you have so much wealth. You must be doing some shady business here or stalking us. I will have to teach you a lesson."
Alex's face changed since he never expected that Luke would be so aggresive as to attack him without giving him a chance to explain himself and he also did not believe him that he was here for shopping as he was really not stalking them. Though none of them had started their cultivation journey yet since they just got their spiritual roots two days ago. But if a fight broke out between them then he will get beaten up after all Luke had a lot of strength with a muscular body and Alex was only weak with no muscle at all.
This time, Luke tried to break Alex's teeth with a punch, but it was halted in its tracks by a beautiful female who was holding his hand. He was unable to move his hands or free them from her due to her overwhelming power. Then she simply gave him a small shove and threw him back a few meters. She was obviously a cultivator due to her power.
Luke got up from his position and said "Hello, Miss I'm not sure who you are, but please don't stand in our way. Even though you are a cultivator, my influence in Black Rock City will make your life miserable."
