1 MONTH LATER .....
It's been a full month since Peter and I came into a relationship and everything seems completely unreal. After we proposed to each other, we went on a date on holidays ,
We go for a walk in the evening and talk all night long on calls, everything was too unreal and beautiful to me. Actually these days we barely have time for each other because peter was busy with his project work , still whenever we get time we talk on the phone. Peter's major is psychology and mine is literature, so we're in different faculties, so we usually see each other after college. It was morning , and Lisa and I were going to college. I was talking to Peter On the phone in my way to college.
"Uhh , okay , natasha I'll call you back, I have some important work right now." Peter said while we were talking.
" Ohh , okay fine , take care "
"Okay , bye see you and I love you."
" Yeah , I love you too " I also blushed and said to Peter on the phone
Peter hung up the phone.
" Ewwww people in love really stinks."
" You should not even talk about love, first get serious with someone."
" Haa haa , i don't even want to fall in love with anyone, I'm happy in flirting with everyone and hooking up and then just part ways no bloody emotions involved."
"Okay fine , now let's go to the campus cause we're already late for the college."
We arrived at the campus and I saw Peter talking to Lara. They were laughing and talking to each other.
"Didn't he say to me that he is busy and has some important work to do ? " I said while watching peter smiling sweetly at lara.
"Jealous ? " Lisa said, noticing my flushed complexion and expression.
" Why would I ? I trust peter , But he should have told me earlier that he was with Lara, then why did he say that he was busy?"
"Only Peter can answer this question of yours , let's go to him and ask him. "
Lisa grabbed my hand and pulled me over to Lara and Peter.
" Ohh , natasha , what are you doing here ? "
Peter asked as soon as he saw me .
" Forget about her, what are you doing here with lara ? didn't you said to her that you're busy with some important work ? " Lisa said angrily in support of me.
" Uhh yeah , I am doing important work right now , actually Lara and I are in the same major and we are paired together in a project work , so we were just discussing about that."
" I'm sorry Natasha, but can I borrow your boyfriend's time for a while? I just need to talk to him about the project."
" Ohh , yeah sure , you can .. Anyways , I have to go to class , see you later , peter ."
I said this while looking at Peter and walked away.
" Are you sure , you're okay ? " Lisa asked me in concern whole walking towards the class.
" About what ? "
" About lara and peter being too close to each other."
" But both of them are together only for project work. "
" Yeah, I know, but I told you before that I find Lara weird. Is it okay to leave Peter with her ?"
"I think you're overthinking it, it's nothing like that, they're just friends."
" Yeah , but still "
" Lisa , Please stop thinking too much I told you I trust peter "
" Okay , fine I'll not overthink, let's go to the class."
We both went to the class and our teacher Miss lucy also came there.
" Dear students, you all know that everyone is going to get project works, and today I am going to announce the project partners."
Miss Lucy named all the project partners one by one. Lisa was with Alex's friend James. Now , only I was left and miss lucy announced my partner and scrap ! My partner is Alex ! The asshole Alex !
" Ain't no way I'm doing my project work with him, miss lucy I want to change my partner "
I declared my opinion about the damn project partners announcement .
"No you can't ! , your names are already on the list and that can't be changed now ... "
Miss lucy declared and I had to pair up with Alex.
" Beside doing the project work, you all have to go to on a camping tomorrow , where you will enjoy hiking and understand the wildlife and nature and of course you will all hike in pairs, and your partner will be same as your project partner ." Lucy ma'am said to us.
" What worse could happen to me than this ?" I said in frustration.
After a long day I came back home and I was still angry with Peter because he lied to me and did not tell me that he was with Lara ,
He would have told me that he was discussing his project with her but he didn't , that ruined my mood more. He called me, but i did not picked up because my anger had not subsided. Suddenly someone knocked on the door of our dormitory. When I went to open the door, a delivery boy was standing with a parcel. "Ma'am, are you Miss Natasha?" He asked and I said, "Yes." "Someone has sent this parcel for you. " He said again. And I was damn confused ,
" Sorry, I think you have mistaken something, I am new here, who will even send me the parcel ? I think you should recheck once. "
"Ma'am this order was placed by a man and he told me that he is your boyfriend and he want to apologise to his girlfriend. "
And now I got , that this parcel was sent by Peter, "Can you tell me his name please?" I said to him.
" Ummm , his name was peter gavinsky."
I sighed because I was done with this man and his unique ways of apologizing.
" Ohh, then this parcel is for me, thank you so much."
I greeted the delivery boy, closed the door, and unboxed the parcel. It was a big chocolate cake with a 'sorry' written on it.
Peter knew exactly how much I loved chocolate cake. Whenever I used to feel down or stressed, I always liked to eat chocolate or chocolate cake and Peter knows this, maybe he thought he could bribe me with a chocolate cake and get me to apologize.
"Awwww so sweet , Looks like someone is asking for forgiveness from you, now please forgive him too." Lisa said, pitying Peter.
I replied back blushing because Peter's idea had worked and I couldn't stop myself from forgiving him. I was actually angry with him, but later I realized that maybe I was thinking too much. If Peter liked Lara, why would he propose to me? And anyway, this is New York, and Peter and Lara are just friends, so it's normal to laugh and chat. I shouldn't have been so serious and I was a little responsible too for overreacting.
