Chapter 66 - Chapter Sixty-Two: Bubbles

Nami walks into a room.

The door behind her suddenly shut.

Kalifa sat on the sofa in the middle of the room, sipping some tea.

"Do you want a cup?" she asked.

"N-no thanks," Nami replied.

Kalifa slowly got up from the sofa.

"You know… we don't have to fight. You can just turn around like a good little girl and go back home."

"Don't waste your breath," Nami replied. "Let's just get this over with."

"If you say so."

Kalifa blew a kiss of bubbles at Nami.

"Really? Bubbles?" Nami said.

One of the bubbles touched the ceiling lamp before the rest could reach Nami.

It exploded.

BOOM

"What the—?!"

Nami dodged the bubbles coming her way.

"I thought they were just bubbles," Kalifa said with a sinister smile.

NAMI — [So she uses exploding bubbles… I can't let myself get hit by that or I might die.]

"Shave," Kalifa said.

She disappeared and reappeared above Nami.

"Kiss of Death!"

Hundreds of bubbles launched toward Nami.

Nami spun her Clima-Tact fast, creating a small tornado.

"Tornado Tempo!"

The attacks clashed, creating a giant exploding tornado.

Both attacks canceled out.

Nami's eyes narrowed. She gripped her Clima-Tact tighter.

NAMI-[ I can't let her hit me. One mistake and I'm done for.]

Kalifa land behind her, smiling.

"You're slow, little navigator," Kalifa said.

Nami spins around, swinging her Clima-Tact.

" Tornado Tempo!"

The attack hit Kalifa, but she vanished just before impact.

"Shave!" Kalifa reappeared above Nami, dropping hundreds of small bubbles.

Nami gasped.

NAMI-[ Too many… I can't dodge them all!]

She raised her Clima-Tact and created another tornado.

"Tornado Tempo!"

The bubbles hit the tornado and exploded in midair. Fire and wind swirled together, filling the room with smoke.

"Ha! Not bad," Kalifa said, landing on her feet. "But I'm just getting started."

Nami coughed, wiping ash from her face.

NAMI-[ I need to end this quickly… but she's too fast!]

Kalifa smiled again and blew another kiss. The bubbles moved faster this time, like bullets.

"Dammit," Nami said. Dodging the bubbles.

"Flame Star!" a voice shouted. The attack slammed into Kalifa, sending her skidding back.

"Who's there? Come out!" Kalifa shouted angrily.

Suddenly, a man wearing a mask stepped through the doorway.

"It is I, Sniper," the man said.

Nami blinked.

"Usopp! Great timing!" Nami said, a spark of relief in her voice.

"Who is Usopp? I'm Sniper King," Usopp said, puffing his chest out.

"Yeah, yeah, sure," Nami replied, rolling her eyes but smiling.

Kalifa's lips twisted into a cruel smile. She vanished. Then suddenly appeared above Nami.

"Kiss of Death!" Hundreds of bubbles shot down toward Nami.

Nami spins her Clima-Tact, creating a small tornado.

"Tornado Tempo!" The attacks clashed, exploding into wind and debris.

Sniper King fired again, shooting his explosive star through the smoke.

Kalifa dodged, but some bullets hit near her, sending shards of wood and stone flying.

Nami took the chance. She rushed forward, swinging her Clima-Tact fast.

"Tempo Strik!" The tip of her weapon slammed into Kalifa, forcing her to step back.

Kalifa wipes away sweat from her forehead. "Impressive… but not enough!" she hissed.

She leapt high, vanishing toward the ceiling.

"Again?!" Nami shouted, spinning to follow.

Sniper King aimed at a corner above. "Don't worry, I see her!" he shouted.

"BOOM!" The shot exploded near Kalifa, forcing her to dodge again.

"Now's my chance!" Nami ran forward, the Clima-Tact whirling faster, creating a larger tornado.

"Cyclone Tempo!" Kalifa tried to block it, but the combined force of Nami's whirlwind and Sniper King's flame star slammed her back against the wall.

Dust and smoke filled the room.

"Got her!" Nami shouted, breathing hard.

"That's right! Target locked!" Sniper King leaped to the side with a grin.

Kalifa coughed, her clothes torn. "Hmph… this isn't over!" she said, glaring.

"Thanks… you showed up just in time." Nami said.

"No problem!" Sniper King replied, puffing out his chest. "I always save the day… sometimes."
