The Dark God's return began in silence. A black wind swept through the skies, carrying whispers of death. Entire villages vanished overnight. And when Yodakim looked to the heavens, he saw them burning once again.
The Second Divine War had begun.
Beside him stood his apprentice and surrogate grandson — Katsui, a child of radiant potential. The boy's golden eyes shimmered faintly with the same energy that once belonged to the Light Elemental God.
In the heart of a ruined city, Yodakim faced the Dark God reborn. Lightning carved the clouds as the two powers collided once again.
"Yodakim…" the Dark God hissed, his voice echoing like thunder. "You cannot protect him forever. The light will fade — and when it does, so will he."
Yodakim's gaze hardened. "Then I'll burn my own life to keep it alive."
He raised his weapon. "Celestial Judgment!"
The heavens split apart. A surge of radiant spears descended, obliterating the darkness. But the victory came at a cost — Yodakim's left arm was torn away, his divine core collapsing from the strain.
Katsui screamed, trying to reach him. "Gramps! Stop, you'll—"
But Yodakim only smiled weakly. "Katsui… remember this. The light never dies. It only changes hands."
He pressed his hand to Katsui's chest. The Eclipse Solstice Blade drifted toward the boy, its glow soft and mournful. "You will inherit my dawn…"
With that, Yodakim's form dissolved into radiant dust — scattering across the wind like the last whisper of a dying star.
