Chapter 2 - ACT II

The Gods themselves had gifted that poor world that woman. She wasn't human. That much was clear to Eden. But agreeing to being with her for one full moon definitely was not going to be regrettable.

Her name was confidential. At least, that's what she said when asked about it. Poor kid didn't even understand what that meant, since he was only six!

Of course, Eden didn't even know what a week or a month was. Not because he was so young, but because they took time as day and night. And he understood by then, the world he called home, was not perfect with tyranny in the five nations.

"What am I supposed to call you then, since you aren't telling me your name?.." She had taken him to some weird looking dungeon with pillars, which looked more like ruins of a temple.

"That is for you to decide, child. Just... make sure it is not something weird." It was unnatural, of course, but she was floating in midair, hands behind her back. "Your wish is to overthrow the Five Kings. I shall honour that decision and do as you wish. This is a child's dream, but one that even the elders have..."

"Soo... you are going to help us and get rid of the Five Kings? Everyone has been suffering because of them. They're greedy, oblivious, and filthy, more filthy than any of the people on the street..."

"Do not compare filthiness and a good life. I already got the picture of them through. But I shall not intervene with your anger. Just do not cross the line. Anger doesn't always bring us far. Rather, it can bring us deeper down." With that, her voice went quiet.

AVARITIA HARANAE: ZICHOME

"Sir, the messenger came back with news."

"Good. The news better be good." The king said.

The bedroom was where the king spent most of his time. Be it eating or having his own harem. And what could others say about it? Nothing.

The place was as quiet as silence itself. Only the usual munching of food, sipping, and goblet thumping broke the choking silence. Coming from the king himself.

Then, the messenger, Rotho, came in. Being in their king's presence meant they would be shaking out of fear. Would it even matter what their opinion was on how the king dines.

"The king of Sidus Magus believed you. It is not your fault that the desert of Avaritia is becoming bigger and expanding itself even into Sidus Magus. Just as you said abd wished."

"... Leave. You've done what was needed." The messenger nodded and finally left. And as always, the king resumed his dining.
