Gold and silver banners flooded the city. The sheer magnitude of the wedding decoration, and the majestic banners were a scene never before seen in the kingdom. The entire Elven army of 50,000 was inside the capital, as well as another 5000 high officials and Royals from the Elven country. The people were all happy for their prince, it seems he can finally begin a happy chapter of his life.
As Gareth and Elowyn walk through the garden, the way he leads her and how she leans into him, it's obvious they have both fallen for each other over the past 2 weeks. Elowyn for her part, was a little uncomfortable with his 5 maids, especially finding out how Sarah flirts with him openly, but in Elven culture multiple wives are often accompanied when they marry strong men. Elowyn just made it clear that her needs were to come before his maids, and that she would be his first wife no matter what happens in the future. Gareth wasn't even sure he wanted that type of relationship with any of the maids, or even his ex fiancee who he hadn't forgiven. But he appreciated her for being forthcoming with her expectations and laying her terms for a happy marriage in Liu of making accusations.
