Chapter 261: Samui and Mabui
Kumogakure, the Raikage's Office.
Clad in a black robe adorned with red clouds, Samui sat unceremoniously in the seat that once belonged to the Raikage.
Her massive breasts pressed against the smooth surface of the desk, effectively relieving much of the weight and sparing her shoulders from strain.
As a former high-ranking official of the Cloud Village, she knew everything about this place like the back of her hand. Now, handling the relocation work felt effortless to her, and her efficiency was terrifyingly high.
The Fourth Raikage had fallen in battle against Madara Uchiha. Killer B had died when his Tailed Beast was extracted. The two core pillars of the village were gone. The remaining Cloud ninja, having witnessed the god-like power displayed by Lady Konan the previous night, were broken.
No matter how unwilling they were, no matter how much they loved their village, the brutal reality had crushed their spirits.
To make matters worse, the one sent to take over the Cloud Village was none other than their own Samui. Even this elite Jonin, once known for her unwavering loyalty, had betrayed the village to join the Akatsuki.
This betrayal struck harder than the bitterness of their defeat in the Fourth Great Ninja War. The successive blows disheartened even the most united and loyal Cloud ninja.
Under Samui's pragmatic persuasion—laying out the facts and reasoning—most of the Cloud ninja had accepted the cruel reality. They began packing their belongings, preparing to migrate to the Village Hidden in the Rain that evening.
Samui set down the last classified document in her hand.
She stretched lazily, her back straightening, causing her curves to defy the laws of physics and protrude even more prominently.
"It's already afternoon..."
She exhaled softly and leaned back against the chair. Her cool gaze shifted to her brother, who was currently facing the wall on the opposite side of the room.
"Turn around!" Her voice was chilly and commanding.
It was the natural suppression of an older sister over a younger brother. Since childhood, Atsui had lived in fear of her. Hearing that authoritative voice, his body trembled visibly.
He turned around reflexively, not daring to delay for a single second.
His face was bruised purple and blue, swollen in patches. Although he was terrified of his sister, he still peered stubbornly through the narrow slits of his eyes—swollen to the size of light bulbs—at the figure sitting in the Raikage's chair.
He was scared, but he was not convinced!
"Atsui," Samui said expressionlessly. "Have you thought it through yet?"
Since returning to the village, her brother had been the one resisting the most, making the biggest scene. Since reasoning didn't work, she had to show him the terror of a big sister. She had used her fists to beat him into a pig-headed silence.
But judging by his stubborn expression, he still wanted to resist.
"I don't understand!" Atsui cried out, his voice thick with tears. "Sister, since I was little, you taught me to love the village and be loyal to Lord Raikage..."
"I always looked up to you as my role model! I know you love the village more than anyone, that you wouldn't hesitate to die for it! But..."
He shouted, "Why?! Why have you become like this, Sister?!"
"You betrayed the village! You betrayed Lord Raikage! Why? I don't understand! I really don't understand!"
He truly could not comprehend how his sister—who had always been so proud and put the village first—could join the Akatsuki. Facing the demise of Kumogakure, she was not only indifferent but had actively volunteered to take over the village, accelerating its destruction.
Samui remained expressionless. However, the look she gave her brother grew increasingly oppressive.
The death of the Fourth Raikage... the demise of Kumogakure?
Aside from a slightly complex feeling, she felt no other emotion. Certainly not hatred or unwillingness.
Perhaps the initial "conditioning" had merely forced her body to yield. But after gaining her freedom and living on the Sky Fortress, she had genuinely come to love that life.
Finally, upon learning the true goal of Lord Konan and Lord Alex—to unify the ninja world and create a world of true peace—her body and soul had completely submitted.
Times change. The Ninja Sect of a millennium ago vanished; why shouldn't the village system, which had only lasted sixty years, also perish? This backward system had led to four Great Ninja Wars that engulfed the entire world, causing unimaginable grief and slaughter for the Cloud Village and everyone else.
For the sake of a better future, the old systems—and the people clinging to them—should be swept into the dustbin of history.
Judging from her experiences, Samui was certain her choice was correct. She was even grateful that the initial conditioning had given her the chance to change her perspective.
"Stop shaking! Stand still!" Samui frowned and shouted coldly.
Atsui immediately froze, standing as still as a frightened quail, not daring to move a muscle.
He was horrified. His sister... seemed to have become even scarier. The pressure radiating from her felt like a mountain pressing on his heart. Her strength didn't feel like that of an Elite Jonin anymore, but rather Kage-level!
"Hmph!"
Samui scoffed and stopped paying attention to him. She didn't want to waste her breath persuading this worrisome brother. If he didn't cooperate or tried anything, he would simply face her iron fist again. She believed a few more beatings would eventually help him realize his mistakes and correct his ways.
Samui turned her gaze to the other person in the office.
Mabui, sitting on the sofa.
Her silver-grey hair draped over her shoulders, and her tight-fitting pencil skirt accentuated her figure perfectly. Although her skin was dark, it possessed a unique beauty.
As the most rational person in Kumogakure, Mabui knew reality could not be changed. With Samui looking after the villagers, she didn't need to worry too much. Her best option now was to cooperate with Samui and take care of the people.
Facing Samui's scrutinizing gaze, Mabui felt uncomfortable, as if insects were crawling over her skin.
Her old friend had changed significantly since they last met. The original cool beauty now carried a hint of seduction. Even those assets that countless women in the village envied seemed to have grown a size larger.
It was simply staggering.
"Sa... Samui..." Mabui spoke with some trepidation. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Nothing." Samui stood up and walked over to Mabui. "Things are mostly wrapped up. Since we have time, let's go take a bath."
"A bath?"
Mabui looked confused as Samui pulled her up, led her out of the Raikage building, and headed toward the bathhouse.
Samui turned to look at Mabui, a suggestive smile playing on her lips. "We were sisters before, and I hope we will be sisters in the future. But first, I need to thoroughly inspect you for Lord Alex..."
One fair-skinned, one dark-skinned—two beauties of completely different styles walking down the street made for a beautiful scene.
