Chapter 68 - A Rather Tense Reunion

Stretching her wings in the open air, Aura looked around from the high clouds. Hanging her legs from it, she pressed her hand to her forehead and turned her head to find that vampire queen's lair. Above, she could feel many eyes–the eyes of the outer gods–monsters stronger than the fabric of space and time, and yet unhindered, she mocked them with her presence.

'Do something', her presence passed that message to the cucks who watched the world getting fucked by lesser gods, all the while, the only thing they did was stay on the sidelines and watch. There was nobody that she hated more than those beasts, and although they could snap, and her world would cease to exist, they never did. Why exactly?

'Spineless cuckolds…' Washing the sour look from her face, she spotted a tiny glint amidst the long stretch of the Holt. 'There.'

Picking herself again, she glanced up one last time and screamed.

"We assfucked your children!" Waving the fact that the gods of this world were clenched in their hands, Aura cackled to herself before zooming towards that tiny glint in the forest. "Ahahah~! I will never get tired of screaming at clouds!"

Her voice echoed through the trees, driving droves of birds out of their nests. A wise choice for the moment she picked up her pace–the trees were bent in the direction of her flight until she disappeared into the tiny glint of compacted time-space.

Coming out on the other end in a castle made of dark igneous rock, Aura set her foot to the ground and soaked in the cold surroundings. Darkness as far as the eye could see, with a hint of light bleeding in from the outside world. Marching forward, she was met with curious glances from the vampiric attendants standing guard in the passage that led to their queen.

Knowing better than to question her, they remained still on their posts. But Wallace–the only immortal vampling didn't feel the same way. Noticing her approaching from a distance, he stood in front of the tall gates that led to his mother's throne room.

"Please stop, mother said nobody can ent–"

"Get out of my way," waving her hand, Aura sent his body flying into a pillar. "I don't remember giving you permission to speak to me."

Walking past Wallace's post, Aura pushed the doors open while the vampling's splattered body slowly began to regenerate. Eyeing the viscera around his splattered head, the archmaiden squinted.

"I remember your father's skull splattered the same way, boy–be glad that you're immortal, otherwise you would've been just as useless."

Walking through the doors, Aura looked to the front. Sitting atop the amber throne was none other than the vampire queen, Valentine, and her children.

"Playing mommy, are we?" She said, smirking.

Picking up her voice, the twins quickly turned their heads. Meeting Aura's gaze, they smiled and jumped off their mother's thighs.

"Aunty!" Rushing off the step, the duo stretched their arms towards her. "We didn't know you were coming!"

Getting on her knees, the succubus held their hands and pulled the two closer. Wrapping them in a hug, she brushed her cheeks against them both.

"Ueeeeee~ I wanted to surprise you, but!" Squeezing their bodies tight, she looked angrily into their eyes. "You called me aunty again. I told you you'll be punished if you call me that!"

"But you are aunty!" The two exclaimed in unison.

Pulling her fist to her chest, Aura clenched her teeth.

"Arghhh… that hurts! I'll die if you attack me with that word!"

"Really?!"

"Enough, Aura!" The sound of sharp footsteps cut the conversation short. "And you two, give mother some room. She must talk to your aunt alone."

The twins turned their heads with subtle frowns. But before their lips could open to complain, Valentine spanned her finger, and their bodies were sent flying through a dimensional portal similar to the one they were already in.

Getting up, her arms now empty, Aura leaned to the side with a hand resting on her hip.

"I didn't know that you were hunting so close."

"I didn't know that you had left our husband alone in that mansion." Folding her hands, Valentine stepped forward. "Why are you here?"

"Why can't we ever see eye to eye, Valentine?" Pushing her hand forward, Aura shifted her gaze to her perfectly painted nails. "Always something to say, something to bicker over."

"Eye to eye, you can always wear heels to match my height, succubus." Taking a deep breath, the vampiress let go of her hands. "But since you've come here, I suspect you have something important to discuss. Or is this another one of your pranks?"

"What pranks?!" Squinting her eyebrows, Aura stared daggers at Valentine. "I'm here on behalf of Zephyr. He has orders for you, so how about you save this cool, calm, and collected persona for someone who cares?"

Leaning back, Valentine's hands lifted to her chest. Blinking twice, she moved closer with renewed curiosity in her gaze.

"He's awake? Since when?"

"A month or more, and before you complain, he asked me not to disturb you. I preferred if it had stayed that way, but alas–we're here, eye to tits and a heel's short of length."

"Again with the non-sense!" Swatting her hand in the air, Valentine tried to reel in her excitement, but the smile on her face relented. "Where is he? Take me to him, now!"

"Orders first, sweetheart~" Snapping her fingers, Aura brought the vampiress back to the topic at hand. "Believe me, nobody would love it more than me for him to rough you up in every sense of the way, but we have an assignment. Just like old times, remember?"

With the click of her tongue, Valentine lifted her head. Crossing her arms once more, she gestured to the succubus to relay to her their husband's plans. And once Aura was done detailing everything that was going on and their next step, the only thing left for Valentine was to step forward and die by the magic knight's blade.
