Chapter 41 - No Escaping Him (Edited)
"I'm not yours. I will never be yours." The words spilled through her trembling lips before she could even think of them too deeply.
She should play along; she shouldn't annoy him; she should just do what he wants to find a way to get out of here.
For fooling Kalio with the existence of the bond they shared was difficult.
She could think she was playing the game, and somehow he could win. She was terrified of him winning, and with him having most of the upper hand in this situation, armed with much more knowledge about what was going on than she was, she didn't want to take that risk.
She didn't want him to win.
Not again.
Not this time.
Not ever again.
Kalio pulled away from her. She could see his chest rise and fall with rage. It was so much that it blinded him. His eyes went dark and that chuckle again rumbled from his chest.
"You loved being mine," his voice shook and that terrified her.
