Chapter 46 - Conqueror Haki

After Louis and Chairman Go Gun-Hee finished their long conversation, the old man stood up from his chair and pointed toward the long hallway behind his desk.

He spoke in a calm voice, but it carried a heavy tone.

"Let's move to the Evaluation Room."

Louis followed behind him with steady steps and a small smile.

Before reaching the door, Louis noticed two familiar figures standing on both sides of the entrance.

Choi Jong-In… and Baek Yoon-Ho.

Leaders of the "White Tigers" guild and the "Hunters" guild.

Both of them bowed deeply to the man walking in front of Louis — Chairman Go Gun-Hee.

The chairman smiled lightly: "I couldn't hide this from two of the strongest guilds in the country. They came early in the morning when they heard about your re-evaluation."

Louis raised his eyebrows. Not bad… and useful for my plan of leaving a deeper impression.

Inside the room

When everyone entered, the place revealed huge equipment:

large metal devices connected to the floor, all made to endure powerful attacks from Rank A Hunters.

A man wearing a black suit stood in the center. He bowed respectfully.

"We can start whenever you are ready, Chairman."

Chairman Go looked at Louis and asked calmly: "Before we begin… may I ask what kind of ability you have?"

Louis paused for a moment, thinking of the right words, then answered slowly: "It's the power of will. Simply, I fight by using my willpower."

It was the best explanation he could give.

After awakening as a real hunter, he had chosen Advanced Conqueror's Haki from the system's list.

He chose it after long thinking and changed plans for the future he wanted.

The chairman asked:

"Willpower? What kind of ability is that?"

Louis smiled: "Experience is better than explanation."

He closed his eyes for just one second…

Suddenly, invisible pressure filled the room. Energy surrounded his body — calm yet overwhelming.

Conqueror's Haki.

With enhanced physical power, Louis disappeared from his position and appeared in front of one of the large metal devices.

Then—

BOOOOM!

The device exploded into pieces.

Chairman Go was shocked: That speed? That strength?

The examiner shouted: "W-what is that?!"

Louis answered: "This is called Ryou." He remembered how Luffy learned it in Wano — damaging the inside instead of the outside.

Louis moved to the corner where many weapons were placed.

He chose the weakest one — a simple Rank D sword.

Chairman Go asked: "Don't tell me you are serious about using that weak weapon?"

Louis laughed lightly: "Just watch."

He covered the blade with his Haki, then swung a long-range strike toward another device—

And it was cut perfectly in half.

A Rank D sword cutting equipment made to resist Rank A attacks…

The room went silent.

Louis said with a calm voice, slightly exaggerating: "As long as my will stays strong, even a weak weapon will not break easily. It will only become stronger."

Chairman Go stared at the broken device, his eyes slowly widening. A device like this… cut in half with a normal Rank D sword??

Before he could recover from the shock, Louis spoke: "This proves a lot… but let's move to the next test."

He looked at the chairman again: "Please call some of the association hunters here."

Louis smiled: "Don't worry, I won't hit anyone. They just need to be present."

The chairman stared at him for a few seconds, then smirked: "Alright, let's see what you do next."

He picked up his phone: "Woo Jin-Cheol, bring some hunters to the evaluation room immediately."

Louis smiled wider.

A few minutes later

More than ten association hunters entered, including Woo Jin-Cheol himself.

Everyone stood in front of Louis like they were taking a national exam.

Someone whispered: "Are we… fighting him?"

Louis heard him and smiled slightly: "No need to worry. We won't fight—at least not the way you imagine."

He walked forward slowly… step by step.

His eyes started glowing red, as if something awakened inside him.

Conqueror's Haki.

Not just normal Haki… but his strongest level.

A huge magical pressure filled the room.

Waves of invisible force pressed directly on their souls.

No shouting.

No movement.

Just one moment—

All of them collapsed at once.

Except one.

Woo Jin-Cheol.

He was kneeling on one leg, breathing heavily, sweating, and trying to resist like his soul was being crushed.

Louis looked impressed: "Your will is not bad. But resisting will only make it heavier. You should stop."

Woo Jin-Cheol forced himself to reply: "I can… hold… on…"

Louis smiled: "You are different from the others. You'll wake up soon anyway. Just rest."

For some reason, Woo Jin-Cheol believed him.

He allowed himself to fall unconscious.

Silence filled the room.

Louis turned toward the chairman, Choi Jong-In, Baek Yoon-Ho, and the trembling examiner.

He explained calmly: "This ability lets me force my will on those weaker than me. The strong will faint for minutes… the weak for hours... maybe."

Everyone's faces froze.

Chairman Go asked: "How far can you push this ability?"

Louis remembered Luffy in Fishman Island and shrugged: "At full power, maybe one hundred thousand people. But using it too much is dangerous for me, so I set limitations."

Everyone was shocked… maybe they didn't even understand.

And before they could grasp the situation.

Louis decided to leave a stronger impression. In one moment, he disappeared.

No step.

No sound.

And appeared walking calmly between Choi Jong-In and Baek Yoon-Ho.

In the same way as Merium in HxH.

Time almost stopped.

Even the air felt frozen.

They both felt chills like something non-human just passed between them.

Baek whispered: "W-what is this speed?! I couldn't even follow him with my eyes!"

Choi couldn't even speak.

Chairman Go smiled, as if watching a personal show: "Amazing… truly amazing."
