Prologue: Unbalance.

Long before the first star shone in the heavens, there were two kings — brothers born from the same cosmic flame. One ruled the dark, the other the light. Yin and Yang — two halves of eternity. Together, they kept the world in perfect harmony. Yin brought calm to chaos, giving rest, mystery, and shadow. Yang brought warmth to the cold, sparking courage, creation, and dawn.

But balance is fragile.

As mortals grew ambitious, they began to worship one brother more than the other. Temples to Yang glimmered with gold and praise, while Yin's sanctuaries were left in silence and ash. Envy took root — not in Yin's heart at first, but in the hearts of humans who used his name to justify darkness. The brothers' bond, once unbreakable, began to fracture.

When they finally turned against each other, the skies split open. Oceans boiled, mountains crumbled, and the stars themselves wept. Their final clash tore the world in two — the Realm of Light and the Realm of Shadow. And though both kings vanished into myth, their last act changed humanity forever.

With their dying breath, Yin and Yang each gifted a fragment of their essence to mankind. From Yang came Aether, the power to create, to burn, to lead. From Yin came Nox, the power to conceal, to endure, to see beyond sight.

Generations passed. Their story faded into legend, then into bedtime tales. Yet deep within every human, their gifts remained — sleeping, waiting for the day the balance would falter once more.

Now, in an age where light and shadow wage silent wars in mortal hearts, whispers speak of the return of the divided kings… and of one child who might reunite them.
