Chapter 1 - Day of breaking up with girlfriend

My name is Han San, I'm a 16-year-old student, entering my second year this year.

My life has been pretty ordinary. I'm 180 cm tall and quite handsome.

I have a girlfriend in the same class as me, her name is Shi Rou, a girl with slightly long blonde hair.

She's a beautiful and cheerful woman.

They have a date today, and for some reason, Shi Rou wants to see him today

"I'll buy her some food," Han San decided to give Shi Rou some food.

Han San chose her favorite food: delicious sweet and spicy macaroni.

After buying the sweet and spicy macaroni, he met Shi Rou at the meeting place.

The meeting place was a cafe, it seems a little expensive

Luckily, Han San had money; he had earned it from his part-time job.

"She'll definitely be happy." Han San was sure to surprise Shi Rou.

Han San arrived at Shi Rou's place. As soon as he arrived, he saw a man.

"Eh, I thought this was our meeting." Han San thought Shi Rou was asking him out, but why was there another man?

Han San approached, curious to see who it was.

"Rou..." Han San called out to Shi Rou.

"You're finally here! You kept me waiting!" Shi Rou said to Han San.

She had been waiting for a long time.

"Sorry, before I came here, I bought something for you." Han San explained why he was late; it was because he had something else to do.

"Why did you do such an embarrassing thing? You're so stupid," Shi Rou said to Han San.

Han San was truly stupid. How could he keep her waiting for something like that?

"I already said I'm sorry!" Han San couldn't help but apologize. Women were complicated, and he'd rather give in than prolong the situation.

"Hemp!" Shi Rou sniffed coldly, completely disgusted with Han San.

"You're already here, then let me get started," Shi Rou said to Han San.

"What?" Han San asked.

Shi Rou seemed serious about what she was about to say.

"From here on out, we're breaking up," Shi Rou said to Han San.

"What!!" The most shocked person to hear this was Han San.

"Why, why?" Han San asked.

Why did they have to break up? Their relationship was fine, and they didn't have any problems.

"Why? Because I'm bored with you," Shi Rou explained the reason why she broke up with Han San.

She was bored.

"No way!" Han San didn't believe Shi Rou's excuse. She must be hiding something.

"Go away, she's my girlfriend now." A man standing 175 cm tall stood behind Shi Rou.

The man, if I'm not mistaken, was from the next class. His name was Cao Pi.

A wealthy young man with a background in electronics.

"Is it because of you?" Han San immediately knew why Shi Rou had broken up with him. It was most likely Cao Pi.

"Cao Pi must have changed Shi Rou's mind, causing her to dump Han San."

"That's right. Do you have a problem with that?" Cao Pi asked.

"Of course I have a problem with that. You're so bold to steal her." Han San wouldn't stand idly by.

As men, they had to resolve this.

"Stop..." Shi Rou told Han San to stop right now.

"This is my decision. You have no right to interfere in my affairs. You're nothing, so don't bother with my affairs anymore." Shi Rou told Han San not to interfere in her affairs anymore.

Han San's heart broke when he heard this. He felt like a needle was stabbing him in the chest.

It hurt, but it didn't bleed.

"Look, she herself decided, you are exposing her to no one now, do you have the right to forbid her?" Cao Pi asked.

Cao Pi's words were true, he had no way to stop Shi Rou.

He is not Shi Rou's family or father, so he cannot prohibit the decisions made by Shi Rou

"This is the choice I have, I hope you respect it" This is Shi Rou's choice.

"My darling, let's go" Shi Rou invited Cao Pi to leave.

"Okay, I promised to buy bags and jewelry." Shi Rou and Cao Pi made out in front of Han San.

It made Han San's face black and white.

The two ignored Han San and walked out of the cafe.

Han San watched the two leave, Shi Rou got into a car that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

"It seems because of that" Han San knew why he was dumped, it was because he was poor, he didn't have enough money like Cao Pi.

Han San was silent for a while, looking like he couldn't accept this.

The cafe staff didn't bother Han San; they understood the situation and didn't interfere.

"Damn... life is unfair. Why am I so poor?" Han San laughed. He felt that life was so unfair to him.

"This really hurts. Just go home and rest." Han San was in a bad mood, so he decided to go back.

In a bad mood, resting and reflecting are good things to do.

"Hey, young man, can you give me a few dollars? I haven't eaten yet." A middle-aged man selling food on the street asked Han San for food.

Han San looked at the old man; he looked much poorer than himself.

"Here, some food for you," Han San handed him the food he had bought earlier.

The old man accepted the food and happily ate it.

Han San looked at the items for sale. He saw some antique-looking jewelry.

"Uncle, what are you selling?" Han San asked.

"I'm selling some antiques. Are you interested, young man?" he asked Han San.

"A few..." Han San looked around, and was attracted to a silver ring that seemed to radiate a mysterious aura.

"How much is it?" Han San asked.

"It's cheap, only 20 dollars," the middle-aged man replied.

"Here, I'll take one." To help the man, Han San decided to buy one.

"Thank you, young man. May God bless you," the middle-aged man thanked him. With this, he might be able to eat a few more meals.

After buying the ring, Han San returned home.

Han San locked himself in his room.

It seemed like Han San needed some time alone.

It was a holiday tomorrow, so he didn't mind relaxing in his room.

Han San happened to live alone. His family consisted of only his grandfather in the village, and he also had an uncle, who ran a small business in the capital.

It was a shame Han San wasn't very close to them.

Han San doesn't know who his parents are. He was raised by his grandfather and knew nothing about them.

So, as an adult, he decided to go to school in the city because of the excellent facilities.

Unfortunately, things didn't always go smoothly. Compared to the peaceful village life, city life was truly harsh and bitter.
