Chapter 1 - 01 - New Mission

Mira's POV

I sent a flying kiss to my fans, before entering the building, "See you soon, my lovelies!" I called out.

My bodyguards were pushing the crowd away. People were screaming, trying to grab me.

"Can I have an autograph, Mira?"; "I love you, Mira."; "Can I get a picture with you, please?!"; "Marry me, Mira!" They shouted out my name together with Rumi's and Zoey's.

"Marry?" I stopped, turned around, and flashed my million dollar smile, "Sorry, I don't do marriages, I deal in heartbreaks." I paused before clearing the misunderstanding, "You all have a piece of my heart, and I've got one of yours." I blew them a last kiss as they all swooned.

I love my fans.

Zoey ran to the elevator. "Let's go! Let's go! Come on!" She frantically pushed the elevator button.

"Relax, Zoey. We're not in the jungle." Rumi said, "They are fans, not lions."

"You're right," Zoey exhaled. "We've been in the industry long enough to know how to handle fans, yet every time I see a mob like this, my heart still races. It's insane."

I pushed the button together with her, not caring if it didn't speed up the elevator, "Ugh, I can't wait to get in my bed. I'm going to sleep forever."

Dink dink. The elevator door opened, and we walked in. Zoey pressed the button to our floor.

As the elevator went up, Rumi said, "Just a short sleep, though. We have to check out the new boy band tonight."

"Ugh." Zoey and I groaned at the same time. "Why do they have to be demons?! Why can't they be angels?! Or mermen?! Or even werewolves?!"

Rumi chuckled at our dramatism, "You know the drill. We're here for the mission. No one told you to save the world would be easy. Especially not from demons."

"If they keep advancing like this," Zoey sighed, "we won't have a world to save. Have you seen their face cards?! I bet even if the whole world knew they were demons, people would still stand in line and offer their souls... for free! They're that hawt."

I wiped my imaginary droll together with the abs that ambushed my brain, "Totally. It's the forbidden fruit, you know. Like...damn it, why do you have to be a demon?! And then you're like...okay fine, take my soul, I don't give a shit, just let me touch you once..."

"...or twice..." Zoey said.

"...or all day long..." I sighed as Rumi rolled her eyes at us, "Forbidden fruit is the best kind of fruit."

"Look who's talking about forbidden fruits!" Zoey pointed at me, "The queen of bad girls!"

"Guilty." I raised my hand, smirking, "And Proud."

I barely touched our couch after the shower with Zoey, and Rumi was already pulling us up.

"These are their schedules, we will follow them separately." She handed us the files of these five demon members. "The Burkun club, at 11 p.m."

"What?!" Zoey complained, "No way! We were supposed to have our beauty sleep!"

I yawned, "Can't we just kick their asses, like we always do?" My eyelids were heavy.

Rumi looked at us, and sighed, "They stay in public places, which means they are trying to avoid a confrontation. If we don't find out their plans, the whole world will suffer." Her words made me feel guilty. The world was counting on us, we were its only hope.

"Alright." I stood up, "I'm ready to kick some demon asses. I'll take this one." I took the file of the leader of the boy band, "I can't wait to see what makes him so special."

"N-no," Rumi stopped me, "I'll take him. He is too dangerous." I raised an eyebrow, but didn't argue with her. She was our leader.

"Okay," I stood up and went to put on a disguise. I wore a pair of blue contacts and a short black wig before stepping into the common area, raising my hands, "Showtime ladies!"

"Let's do this!" We shouted together and high-fived each other.
