Chapter 4 - For The Sake Of An agreement

The next morning, when I opened my eyes, Andrew was already beside me. With his neatly pressed work suit, he hugged me even before I got out of bed. "Forgive me," Andrew whispered, sounding sincere with a sob.

"Shall we go home?" His embrace tightened, but for some reason, this was the first time I managed to break free from his hold. I got up from my sleep, looking at Andrew's face that pleaded for me to come back.

"What do you want? I will give you everything as long as you come home." The wealthy Andrew tried to persuade me again with his limitless wealth.

"We're already divorced, Andrew," I said, actually feeling pain when saying it. I can't deny that I still love this man.

"We can get back together; do you want a wedding party again? That's not a problem." Andrew's words came out so quickly, filled with his unwillingness to lose me again.

"I want to be acknowledged." Andrew nodded quickly. As if it were easy, even though it greatly affects his image. Does Andrew really want to change this time?

"I will do everything." Andrew promised that morning. I want to see his sincerity until I decide whether to give him another chance or not. Andrew left three hours ago, saying goodbye to return to his office. Currently lost in thought, suddenly someone knocked on the door. When I opened my room door, I was surprised to find three people outside.

Two people brought the television, and they immediately looked for a suitable place to set it up. One more is Dr. Collin; he checks my emotional state and condition. He knows that Andrew has met with me personally, and maybe Dr. Collin is worried that something will happen to me after that meeting. However, honestly, I said that I was fine; Andrew's arrival didn't affect me, even though I was also surprised by it. But it has indeed proven that I managed to hold myself together in front of my ex-husband.

"Thank goodness, now take your medicine." Dr. Collin has been giving me the same medicine every day since I came here; he said it was just a vitamin, but whether it was the effect of this vitamin or the positive meetings with Dr. Collin that made me calm and able to control myself.

"I feel much lighter; I can hold back the deep urge that was overwhelming me." What exactly has made me like this? I want to thank you for this.

"This is because of the urge to heal within you, because you are determined, and you have started doing what I said, which is to love yourself much deeper." If you want to recover quickly, you can try filling your free time with hobbies or something that can make you enthusiastic and forget about what is happening. Hearing those words reminded me that I once had a hobby I was passionate about, and I had hoped to reach a professional level with that hobby.

"I once had a dream..." Before I could continue, our focus shifted. The two people who were about to install the television bid farewell to Dr. Collin after confirming that the installation was complete.

"Ah, I almost forgot to ask, why was a television suddenly installed in my room?" I asked in surprise.

"Andrew will broadcast live at the press conference; he will say that he is actually married. He will reveal who you are to the public." I was taken aback when Dr. Collin said that it was something impossible; even at this moment I still couldn't believe it.

Doctor Collin picked up the television remote and searched for the channel where the live broadcast of the owner of the famous furniture company in this country would be aired. Unexpectedly, the broadcast had already started. Andrew took the podium and gave a brief speech, discussing the company's vision and mission for the future. And a long-awaited revelation finally began.

"I sincerely apologize to the media, all my colleagues, and anyone who feels wronged, because this sudden press conference is nothing but to directly inform all of you that I am actually married. The marriage took place three years ago with an ordinary woman named Matilda Owen, whom you have caught visiting the company several times, and I always said she was nobody. Now I apologize, and I say again that she is my wife."

I didn't expect Andrew to say this in public. It was a painful day when I came to his office and no one recognized me as the wife of the company owner. This time the truth was revealed by the person who gave the wound.

The rumble of journalists' voices could be heard, along with the flash of cameras capturing photos of Andrew as he revealed his true status. Unexpectedly, the camera panted to the right, where Leonard's personal secretary, Lucy, with her alluring image, was folding her arms across her chest, looking both angry and shocked at the same time.

"We are currently arguing; I hope our relationship improves after this. For Matilda, forgive me and let's go home." Andrew ended his speech and stepped down from the podium. The journalists who were not given a Q&A session rushed towards Andrew, guarded by his bodyguards. Andrew did not provide any clarification after stepping down from the podium and being bombarded with many questions from the journalists; he entered a room, followed by Lucy.

"Matilda you saw it, didn't you? Do you have any thoughts?" Dr. Collin's question broke my reverie.

"I was quite touched. It seems Andrew is sincere." And Dr. Collin smiled upon hearing it.

"It seems this isn't enough yet, but will you make a decision?" Dr. Collin asked with emphasis, as if wanting me to think and test Andrew a bit longer. A hint of a sad expression was somehow discernible on Dr. Albert's face.

However, I set aside all my questions and suspicions about Dr. Collin. Because right now, I just want to resolve the issues and all the conflicts with Andrew. With careful consideration, I made my choice, "yes, doctor. It seems I will give Andrew a chance."
