Summer looked at him, but her thoughts drifted elsewhere. Just the night before, she had sworn to make those who had hurt her daughter pay. Gideon and his mother were also on that list. They had humiliated her, rejected her child, and driven them into despair.
How could she simply let that go?
And Danica—she was the main culprit. Summer had already made up her mind. She would make that woman suffer the same pain she once inflicted. She would take everything from her—her family, her child, her happiness. And to do that, she had to remain close to Gideon.
"As your secretary, I have to follow my boss wherever he goes," Summer replied evenly.
Gideon let out a pleased chuckle. "Then it's decided. We'll leave after I wrap up a few things here."
"Alright."
"Where are you going with him?" Landon's voice thundered from the doorway.
Landon shot a heated glare at Gideon before turning to Summer. "Tell me I heard that wrong."
