Danica slammed her fist against the table when she heard that Mr. Hill and his men had been arrested.
"That useless idiot," she snarled into the phone. "He couldn't even handle a simple task. He swore he wanted revenge. This is the result?"
Her lips twisted in irritation. "I shouldn't have trusted him. He is a liability now. If he talks during interrogation, I'll be exposed. Handle it. Make sure he never opens his mouth."
A pause followed before a cautious voice replied, "What would you like me to do, Madam?"
Danica thought for a while. "There are people in this world who will do anything for money, even betray their own profession."
"I understand, Madam. You'll hear from me soon."
At the hospital…
Summer lay sleeping peacefully. The blood loss had left her frail. She needed a transfusion.
