Chapter 11, My Other Half is Actually a Saint?

"Hehe, Princess Sati, I'm sorry."

The assistant fired a poisoned arrow, and instantly, a deafening drumbeat resounded, causing everyone to cover their ears.

The poisoned arrow was actually shattered by the sound wave.

Such immense power left the assassins speechless.

They never imagined that Shiva, far away in the forest, out of sheer boredom, had created a Damaru drum out of clay.

With just a few strikes, the sound reverberated throughout the three realms.

"The situation has changed, let's go!"

The assassins hastily retreated. Only the all-powerful Triad god Shiva could emit a sound wave that covered the entire world.

These henchmen were no match for the Triad god.

Sati was indeed the legendary girl favored and protected by Shiva.

"Phew...it's alright, Princess Sati." The guards breathed a sigh of relief and reported to the tent.

But there wasn't even a reply from inside the tent. The guards lifted the tent flap, only to find Sati nowhere to be seen.

"Damn it! The little princess has run away again! Everyone, split up and search!"

The curious Sati had already followed the sound of the drums into the forest. She could feel the loneliness and anger conveyed in the drumbeats, resonating deep within her own heart.

After walking for a while, the drumming gradually stopped. Sati pushed aside a bush, and a white tiger leaped out, pouncing on her.

*Snap!*

Sati opened her eyes, which had been closed in fear, and saw a burly man standing in front of her, a trident already piercing the white tiger's body.

Blood gushed out, and the white tiger died instantly.

"You...you're the one who saved me that night?" Sati asked excitedly.

Shiva didn't speak, only nodded slightly.

"It wasn't for nothing that I saved you twice; you haven't forgotten me."

But the next second, Sati put her hands on her hips.

"Why are you so cruel? The white tiger is a life too! With your immense power, you could have just stopped it; why kill it?"

Sati's question left Shiva speechless for a long time.

"What?!"

"One second you were terrified, and now you're suddenly an animal rights activist? Your change of heart is faster than flipping through a book.

"If I hadn't killed that tiger, who knows if you'd run into it again later."

"Hey, your saintly heart is way too strong! If I hadn't saved you, you'd be dead already."

"I'm naturally grateful you saved me. But killing the tiger was wrong of you. All life is equal. It only wanted to eat me because it was hungry, out of instinct, not malice."

"Alright, alright, you be your saintly self, I'll play my drum. Get out of this forest now."

Shiva was speechless for a moment, then turned to leave.

Sati was beautiful, but he wouldn't allow himself to marry a saint.

The law of the jungle is a universal principle of all ages, especially in this mythological age.

It was just a tiger; what was there to be nostalgic about? Shiva could kill millions and billions with a simple dance.

"So my true nature is a saintly heart. Luckily, I separated it," Shiva thought to himself with relief.

Shiva walked on, but Sati relentlessly pursued him.

"Hey! You're so handsome, why are you so rude? I'm just teaching you to cherish life and not to be consumed by killing, is that wrong?"

"Holy Mother, get lost!"

"How can you be like this? I... Ah!!!"

Sati slipped and tumbled down the hillside. She quickly grabbed a tree trunk to avoid falling into the lake below.

"Help me! Help!"

Shiva stepped onto the tree trunk, smiled slightly at Sati dangling in mid-air, and prepared to pull her up.

Unexpectedly, Sati shook her head frantically.

"My father said that a young woman cannot have physical contact with strange men before marriage."

"Oh dear, you're not even appreciating it? Girl, go down and drink some water to sober up."

With that, Shiva kicked Sati down, leaving her instantly soaked.

"Sigh, it seems marriage can't be based solely on looks. This sentimental, saintly woman is always lecturing me in bed, like Tang Sanzang reciting the mantra."

Whatever, whether it's her true nature or whatever, even if not marrying her would destroy the world, it doesn't matter.

I, Shiva, will just go for it. Whoever wants to marry can marry.

......

Kama, the god of love, entered his own forest of desire, sat on a lotus, and closed his eyes in meditation.

"The universe exists because of love. My work should begin from here. Work is desire, and desire is Kama."

Kama muttered these words, and through his meditation, he glimpsed the scene between Shiva and Sati.

"This is troublesome. Shiva's feelings for Sati have turned from attraction to disgust, and he's even considering remaining unmarried." Kama was immediately alarmed.

Shiva, as expected of the Lord of Innocence, his thoughts and emotions are constantly changing.

When he first descended to the mortal realm, Shiva and Sati were in a state of ambiguous attraction. Now, it had turned into loathing—the leap in their emotions was truly astounding.

However, as the god of love and desire, Kama could understand Shiva's emotional shift.

Shiva was currently in a state of incompleteness, possessing only overwhelming masculine divinity, and held an arrogant, domineering attitude towards everything.

Killing a white tiger, or even slaughtering all living beings, would not trouble him; he might even feel that his opponent wasn't strong enough, that he hadn't had enough of a killing.

Sati, as the reincarnation of the goddess Sati, naturally inherited an extremely emotional side. She loved all beings and was curious about everything.

In short, Shiva was the most masculine man in the world, while Sati was the most feminine woman. The strengths and weaknesses of both men and women were amplified simultaneously.

These two extremes either loved each other to the point of obsession or wished for the other to be destroyed from the universe.

"It seems things have spiraled out of my control. With my divine power alone, I am utterly incapable of resolving this major problem."

Kama rose from the Lotus of Desire, a figure suddenly appearing in his mind.

He immediately soared to the heavens to pay homage to Indra, the King of the Gods.

Dakshasa is the lord of all beings, the master who governs the mortal realm. Indra, the King of the Gods, is the leader of the celestial beings, ruling over the heavens.

At this moment, a group of alluring beauties were singing and dancing in the clouds, while the King of the Gods, holding a wine cup, watched with rapt attention, indulging in pleasure with the gods.

Upon seeing Kama, the god of desire, arrive, Indra warmly waved.

"Kama, it's been many years. Has Brahma finally released you?"

"Kama, I would like to request that you send some men to help me complete the task Brahma entrusted to me."

"Oh? Since it's a task assigned by the Triads, I'm happy to oblige. However, I also want to ask you for a favor."

"I didn't expect the Heavenly Emperor to have a favor to ask of me?"

"Yes. That Elixir of Love you concocted before was incredibly effective. Unfortunately, you were later sealed away by Brahma. Even now, I still have some...you know..."

"That's easy. As long as the task is completed, I'll immediately...oh no, I'll make some Elixir for you to use."
