The powerful tentacle, carrying terrifying force, smashed the boulder to pieces in an instant.
Amid the scattered rubble, Ripjaws turned into a blur and shot away at top speed.
"Roar!"
A deafening screech came from behind, sharp and piercing, sending vibrating shockwaves rippling in every direction.
In an instant, the mechanical creatures within several kilometers seemed to receive some kind of signal. Like a herd of maddened beasts, they converged into a surging tide and rushed this way.
From every direction, above and below, monsters gathered in huge numbers and gradually closed in on Ripjaws, surrounding him on all sides.
Ripjaws hovered in the water, sweeping his gaze over the roaring monsters around him, his expression graver than ever before.
He... was surrounded.
But the vicious mechanical monsters didn't charge him right away. Instead, they kept him trapped in the center, encircling him so tightly that not even water seemed able to pass through.

A deep, heavy boom rang out, and behind the dark mass of monsters, a gigantic golden figure gradually came into view.
Over a hundred meters tall, its body loomed like a mountain, majestic and imposing. Its glass-jar-like head was filled with flowing golden light, something that looked like energy, or perhaps some kind of brain fluid, faintly flickering.

Kraken gave the order, commanding all the monsters to attack Ripjaws.
Countless Tentacle Troopers, mechanical sharks, and mechanical manta rays instantly went berserk, baring their teeth and claws as they charged straight at the isolated Ripjaws.
"Then bring it on!"
A fierce killing intent burst from Ripjaws' fish eyes.
The massive mechanical beast horde howled as it surged, nearly filling the entire stretch of sea and churning the water so violently that it looked as though it were boiling.
In the water, Ripjaws was unbelievably strong. With a single swipe of his claw, he could tear a monster apart.
That tough steel hide meant nothing in front of Ripjaws' claws and teeth. He shredded through it with ease.
"Roar!"
A mechanical shark opened its abyss-like jaws and lunged viciously at Ripjaws, trying to swallow him whole.
Ripjaws shifted to the side and flipped onto the shark's back.
Then he grabbed both of its fins.
"Move it!" Ripjaws kicked the mechanical shark's tail like he was spurring on a horse.
Whoosh!
The mechanical shark let out a howl and shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bowstring.
Riding the shark, Ripjaws swung his sharp claws nonstop, harvesting the monsters around him and ahead of him.
One savage mechanical creature after another exploded apart, turning into chunks of metal that drifted through the water.
Under the charge of the "Shark Knight," every monster in his path was wiped out, shattered into wreckage that sank forever into the cold darkness.
After breaking through the encirclement, Ripjaws didn't spare a glance for the enemies behind him.
Instead, he surged straight upward against the current, murderously charging at the golden giant octopus itself, Kraken!
As if sensing his approach, Kraken raised one of its giant serpent-like tentacles and smashed it down.
Looking at that horrifying "serpent" descending from above, Ripjaws' eyes twitched.
"Crap!"
Ripjaws couldn't help cursing as he immediately leaped off the shark.
Boom!
Almost at the same instant, that savage, powerful tentacle came crashing down onto the mechanical shark.
The sheer force shattered it on the spot, sending white foam exploding through the water.
Ripjaws snorted coldly, his momentum not weakened in the slightest, and in the blink of an eye he charged right onto Kraken's head.
His gray-blue skin and pale eyes seemed to be dyed with a layer of golden light, making him look dazzling.
At that moment, standing atop Kraken's head, Ripjaws looked tiny.
Like a black speck floating on a golden lake.
Ripjaws spread his claws, gathered all his strength, and slashed fiercely at Kraken's head.
Scrraaatch!
A metallic screech rang out. Ripjaws' sharp claws struck the top of Kraken's head and only managed to leave a few shallow scratches.
"What?"
Ripjaws froze for a second.
The shell covering this giant octopus' head was transparent and looked like glass, but it turned out to be even harder than steel.
Its defense was more than a hundred times stronger than those green Tentacle Troopers.
Ripjaws shook his head. He refused to believe he couldn't crack open this golden octopus' skull.
So he acted immediately. Ripjaws opened his huge mouth and bit down hard on Kraken's head.
Crunch!
With bite force comparable to a Tyrannosaurus, he still only managed to leave faint tooth marks.
And for a giant like Kraken, over a hundred meters tall, that tiny wound was nothing more than a scratch, less than a drop in the ocean.

Feeling something crawling around on its head, Kraken flew into a rage and whipped its massive tentacles at its own head.
Ripjaws immediately let go and rode the shifting currents away from Kraken's head.
At the same time, thousands upon thousands of mechanical creatures had already caught up and surrounded Ripjaws again.
"This is getting ridiculous..." Ripjaws clenched both fists, his anger blazing.
Did they really think he was that easy to bully?

The dense mechanical beast tide surged wildly. Every one of them was bloodthirsty as they flooded toward Ripjaws like a tidal wave, swallowing him up in an instant.

A dim green light burst out from within the mechanical horde.
A hazy stream of yellow sand, carrying a green box, broke through the monsters' siege and gathered elsewhere.
A humanoid figure made of yellow sand appeared, with a green box embedded in the center of its body and several differently sized eyes on its head, blinking from time to time.
Sandbox snorted coldly and drew on all his power.
The fine sand covering his body rapidly scattered, then reassembled.
In just a few breaths, Sandbox transformed into a terrifying giant kun!
Or rather, not a giant kun, but a Sand Kun.
