🌑 CHAPTER SIX — "The Humming in the Dark" 🎶🔥
The power was gone.
No lights. No sound. Just the hum.
🎶 Light the fire, feed the flame…
Aria pressed her back to the cold locker, breath sharp in her throat.
Her phone still glowed faintly — that same cursed message burning on the screen.
> Sing with him, Fire Girl.
Her fingers shook. "Eli… what is this?"
He didn't answer.
He was staring down the hallway, eyes fixed on something she couldn't see.
The shadows moved.
Slowly.
Like they were breathing.
> "Eli?" she whispered again.
He turned his head — just a little.
His face was pale, lips parted, as if he was listening to something far away.
Then he said it—
quiet, broken:
> "She's here."
A low laugh rolled through the dark.
The hallway lights flickered once—
twice—
then burst. 💥
Glass rained down around them.
Aria screamed.
Eli grabbed her hand—warm, solid—but his skin burned like fire.
"Run," he said.
And then the humming started again—
right behind them.
🎶 Whisper the names the ashes claim…
