Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Summer Vacation Arrives

Chapter 91: Summer Vacation Arrives

Sitting in Meg's new car, Chris looked down at his comic book while Meg, full of energy, greeted her friends.

"Wow, Meg! Your new car is sick, and who's this hottie? Your new boyfriend?"

Listening to her friends' compliments, Meg's face was beaming, but she still modestly said, "You guys are ridiculous—this is my little brother, Chris. You've met him before."

Four oddly-dressed girls squeezed into the back seat, then kept stealing glances at Chris, until Meg cursed loudly, "Stop fantasizing, bitches! My little brother will absolutely not fall for any of you—including you, Patty!"

"Huh?" The red-haired, glasses-wearing, freckled girl turned her head in confusion, curious why Meg had specifically called her out.

Seeing this, the other three looked down in embarrassment, but secretly cursed Meg for being an idiot. They'd all agreed to downplay Patty's figure to keep her from gaining confidence, right?

How could she just blurt it out like that?

But Meg was no longer the loser she used to be. Having made serious money thanks to her little brother, her self-confidence was sky-high, and she no longer needed to play those petty social games.

So she continued bluntly, "Look at those curves and that perfectly rounded ass. If it weren't for your buck teeth and freckles dragging down your looks, I'd be thrilled to set you up with Chris."

Meg's words stunned Patty. Only then did she realize that her figure really was exceptional. Compared to these friends, she looked like a model.

However, she immediately heard Meg cut her down: "But with that face, if you want to be good enough for my little brother, you'll have to wait for your next life!"

Although Meg's sharp remarks were cutting, Patty didn't feel angry—she'd heard far worse in the past.

In fact, because Meg had praised her figure earlier, she was actually in a pretty good mood.

Especially since Meg had mentioned taking them on an international road trip during summer vacation, she was even less likely to get mad at her.

Under Meg's dominant presence, the others didn't dare interrupt, and the car fell silent.

Then Meg started the engine and drove everyone to school.

When Chris got out of the car, Meg shouted through the window, "Wait for me at the usual spot after school—don't you dare take off!"

Listening to Meg's maternal nagging, Chris waved acknowledgment, then walked into campus.

After enduring several more mind-numbing classes, Chris was ready to head home after the final bell.

However, just as Chris walked out the main entrance of the building, a balding, bespectacled heavy-set man intercepted him.

Chris looked at the familiar figure, and after a moment's recollection, recognized him as their school principal, Shepherd.

"Hey, Chris!"

Seeing the principal looking for him, Chris grabbed a passing classmate and said, "Yo, do me a favor and tell my sister at the pickup spot that I've got something to handle and she doesn't need to wait for me."

The kid who was grabbed was about to protest when he saw Chris's imposing figure and immediately recognized him.

"Oh man, it's Boss Chris!" Obviously, this guy had either been disciplined by Chris before or had heard the stories about him.

He excitedly agreed, "Sure thing, boss. I'll take care of it."

Then he hesitated, "But boss, I don't know what your sister looks like?"

"Easy—she drives a black Lamborghini Urus, and she's... well, she's wearing a pink beanie."

Listening to Chris's description, the boy nodded and said, "Got it, boss."

Having arranged for someone to relay his message, Chris walked toward Shepherd. He was genuinely curious why the principal had time to track him down.

"Mr. Shepherd, what can I do for you?"

Shepherd watched Chris talk to a classmate for a bit before coming over but didn't get angry or ask questions.

Not to mention that this kid was Mayor West's nephew—his position as student body president, elected by unanimous vote, was enough to make him someone you didn't want to cross.

"It's nothing major, it's just that you've already been elected student body president, right? Although you won by unanimous vote, according to standard procedure, you still need to give an acceptance speech. So..."

Shepherd wiped the sweat from his forehead, not expecting this student to have such an intimidating presence. Thank God he was wearing protection, otherwise this would've been embarrassing.

"Oh! So that's what this is about. But I don't have much time lately."

Chris nodded, then rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

He was currently binge-reading DC and Marvel comics, worried that he might accidentally enter some specific timeline and get himself into trouble due to lack of information.

Therefore, he really didn't want to waste time on an unnecessary speech.

Noticing Chris's reluctance, Shepherd removed his glasses, wiped away more sweat, and said nervously, "This... the school regulations..."

Seeing Chris's expression shift, Shepherd quickly changed his approach, "How about this—I think for an excellent student like yourself, Chris, you must be very busy. So why don't we combine this speech with the opening address for next semester? You can give it then, and it'll serve as a great example for the incoming students. How does that sound?"

Hearing Shepherd's compromise, Chris nodded and said, "Alright, I should be much more relaxed next semester. I can accept that arrangement."

Phew!

Seeing his proposal accepted, Shepherd breathed a massive sigh of relief. That oppressive feeling just now had been intense—he'd nearly lost control of his bladder.

Actually, he had lost control of his bladder.

Shepherd felt the uncomfortable dampness and cursed internally, 'Damn it, this thing leaked!'

When Chris arrived at the school gate, he just happened to see Meg driving away. While lamenting his bad timing, Chris also noted that his misfortune ability apparently didn't work on Meg, which made him dislike that particular power even more.

Fortunately, while that sketchy ability was unreliable, his other powers were remarkably effective—especially his enhanced strength and speed.

After Meg dropped off her friends, she returned home to find Chris had already been there for a while. She was surprised for a moment, then shrugged it off.

After all, in their family, anything could happen and it would be normal.

For the next stretch of time, as Meg left early for her vacation and then traveled with friends, Chris was once again picked up and dropped off by Lois.

Although Chris had insisted it wasn't necessary, Lois—who didn't fully grasp Chris's capabilities—insisted on continuing the routine.

It made him seriously consider buying his own transportation.

Unfortunately, even the motorcycle license, which was the closest option for his age, required him to be over 16 to take the test.

So Chris had no choice but to go along with Lois's wishes and let her handle his school transportation.

Fortunately, this arrangement didn't last too long. After Meg's ten-day trip, Chris also welcomed his summer vacation.

A full three-month break made Chris start contemplating how to spend his summer.
