Chapter 34 - "Power Surge"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As Gine and Celari swallowed the fruit, their delighted gasps echoed through the canyon.

It only took a moment for the strange energy inside the fruit to wash through them, flooding every muscle and nerve. Their strength rose sharply—Harry could feel it immediately just from their aura.

They hadn't caught up to him yet, of course, but both had easily gained over a hundred points.

He took out the scouter and ran a quick scan. The results came in seconds later.

Gine: Power Level 830 (+130) Celari: Power Level 440 (+150)

"Whoa, this is amazing! Harry, my power level's already at 440! And I can actually feel the flow of ki now—it's so much clearer than before!" Celari beamed, practically bouncing with excitement.

To her, a lower-class warrior, surpassing even the weaker elites had always seemed impossible. Yet here she was—still just five years old—and her combat power was already at a level unheard of for her age. Among kids her age, she was an elite, no doubt about it.

"I can't believe my power jumped this much in one go," Gine said, stunned. Her power had been stuck at 600 for years, and in just two months it had soared past 800.

Was it luck? Sure, a bit. But deep down she knew—it was all because of Harry. If she'd stayed on Planet Vegeta, nothing would've changed. She'd still be that same logistics worker, quietly fading into the background.

"Gine, Celari—still got room for more?"

Harry's voice broke their excitement. If one fruit had this effect, it was worth seeing what a second one could do. No telling how long these fruits would stay fresh anyway, so better to finish them quickly.

Both women nodded, and Harry didn't hesitate. He fetched another batch of blood-red fruits from the ship.

The second round went down faster than the first—no hesitation this time. They knew the taste, and more importantly, the results.

Harry: 1580 Gine: 900 Celari: 510

Just as I thought… the gains get smaller the more you eat, Harry analyzed silently. But is that because the fruit's losing potency—or because our bodies are adapting?

He thought it through carefully. If someone's strength jumps from 100 to 200, that's a full 100-point boost. But if someone's already at 1000, another 100 points might not mean much at that level—it's only a small fraction of their total power.

So the diminishing return might not be the fruit's fault at all—it could just be how power works.

Still, he could feel it: the fruit's energy wasn't hitting quite as hard as before. So yeah, maybe their bodies were starting to build a tolerance.

After a third round, their power levels rose again—but less than before.Their bodies absorbed the energy slower, the rush fading sooner.

By then, all three of them were full—literally. Saiyan appetites were enormous, yet after three of those dense fruits, even they couldn't eat more. Gine had been right: the fruit could fill you up and kill hunger completely.

Harrydecided to stop there. Another idea had taken root. What if he ate the fruit after an intense workout—when the body was drained? Would the effect increase?

So the three of them stayed in that canyon for days, training, testing, and eating.

Out of twenty-four blood fruits, they consumed them all in batches.

And their power skyrocketed.

Harry: 1850 Gine: 1120 Celari: 890

By the eighth day on that planet, the change was shocking.

Deep within the canyon, Harry was sparring with Gine and Celari, testing their limits.

Their strength had exploded so fast—five hundred points or more in just days—that without proper combat drills, it would all go to waste. Training wasn't just for muscle memory; it was for control, for truly owning their newfound power.

And Harry quickly realized he had underestimated Gine.

He'd always thought of her as the gentle support type, someone who'd forgotten how to fight after years of logistics work. But in real combat, she was sharp, confident—and surprisingly fierce.

With their power levels now close, there were even moments when she pushed him back.

Of course, her advantage in size helped—Gine was a grown woman, while Harry, even with all his progress, still barely stood at a meter thirty.

As for Celari, she was no slouch either. Her agility and precision were improving fast.

By the end of their sparring session, Harry couldn't help but feel like he was the weakest one there.

Not in raw power—but in skill. When he had been at their level, he hadn't fought nearly as well as they did now.

Realizing that, he threw himself into training with renewed focus—honing his ki control, physical endurance, techniques, and battle instincts.

When the match ended, the three of them knelt by a stream, splashing cool water on their faces.

"You're incredible, Gine," Harry said, grinning. "If my power wasn't higher, I don't think I could keep up with you."

"Oh, stop it," she chuckled. "You're just holding back to help us catch up, I know. Still… I never imagined we'd get this strong."

Celari pouted from the side, clearly not liking how much he was praising Gine.

She'd grown much more open lately—sometimes even too comfortable around him. Her teasing and clinginess had reached levels that left Harry unsure how to react.

But maybe that's just how men and women are, he thought.

When a man gets too handsy with a woman, it's called being a creep. When a woman does the same to a man, and he pulls away, he's just "no fun."

Funny thing was, Harry didn't really mind anymore.

He used to think Celari was a handful. Now, he'd gotten used to her—and maybe, just maybe, he didn't actually want her to stop.
