Chapter 50 - Don't tell Bo(2)

Sherly's bar, disclosed location

Sherly's wasn't just a hangout for bikers and outlaws, it was their peace from obnoxious New Yorkers, parole officers, and their biggest enemy, Taxis. That yellow piece of sh*t that infested the streets at every second of the day. The drivers are as pesky as their vehicles.

Bobbi has been a biker since her first pimple, loved the freedom of riding the open road with no one trying to overtake her or cuss her out at the red light.

Entering the bar, she was greeted by the hallway stacked with coat racks and opening through the second door, the pool tables were arranged to entice your curiosity to lose money in under an hour. The bartender was pretty and the most welcoming person, who wouldn't greet you with a slap that would send your hair erect.

"What can I get yea?" She spoke in a practiced tone.

"Whiskey sour," Bobbi ordered.

"Egg white?" She smirked.

"This isn't Rocky," Bobbi responded.

"Fair enough ~"

The lady went on to make her drink while Bobbi looked around the bar, a habitat for leather-wearing, tight vest with the smell of tobacco, people known as bikers.

"You actually came?" A voice said, sitting on her right was Diggs. All smiles and grins that would bring trouble.

"Of course I came... who says no to free drinks?" Bobbi rolled her eyes.

"Well–ain't that a guarantee for a beauty like you~" He complimented.

"No, I throw them back at the buyer's faces and don't call me beauty, it's disgusting. " Bobbi stated.

Diggs chuckled at the threat, "I think we'll get along. "

"Maybe. " Bobbi smirked.

As soon as their drinks arrived, the real bonding started, tales about hard falls and even deeper scars to fill the blanks. Diggs opened up about his time at Rikers for immature decisions and times when liquor beat the lights out of them.

"You ever puked next to a dumpster that reeked of sh*t and possibly had a dude living next to it?" Diggs blurted out, "I didn't even mind the stench, I was more concerned about the fact that my crack was showing. " He burst into laughter.

"What's the use of a belt, if you're going to let your ass show?" Bobbi snorted.

"It's just a comfort thing."

"Yeah, if that means walking around with ass showing. " She giggled. "How much for a night?"

"50 and for a 20 I'll add in a cuddle. " He winked.

"I'll pass on that." She rolled her eyes.

"Suit yourself. " He shrugged. "Wanna play pool?"

"Of course, I was waiting for this moment to crush your ego."

"My ego had been battered a thousand times, and that's just my exes doing."

They proceeded to play pool. Bobbi was a natural. Diggs had to reconsider letting her win easily and tapped into his inner New Yorker.

"Geez–you're good. Wanna bet cash?" He offered.

"Nah, I'm not a rookie, just play and lose like a fair sport Diggs."

"Alright.". He surrendered.

"Let's play fair and square. "

Time passed at every hit and drink swallowed, Bobbi opened more, even throwing light jabs that made him genuinely chuckle. Sooner or later, that bartender restricted them from having any more drinks. Diggs took this as a sign to end their night.

"F-fine...I'll s-stop drinkin. "He burped out.

Bobbi was tipsy, her freckles glowed under the bar light."It's been fun but I have to go." She announced, walking to the coat hanger.

"Wait up."Diggs followed her out.

The two stood outside, cold air kissing their skin, a reminder of the difference in a welcoming of the City and the earlier bar.

"You sure you're good enough to drive?" He genuinely asked.

"Yeah, don't worry. My tolerance is high, I'll be good." Revving her bike, she gave Diggs a nod before driving off into the night.

"Cool lady." Diggs sighed.

[The Coven premises]

Bobbi entered the door, leaving all the outside influence by the lobby, sighing in contempt.

"Look who's here." Jane purred.

Bobbi immediately glared at her, "Jane."

The pale-skinned beauty stood there, hands on her hips, with that annoying smirk that always deciphered Bobbi. "Do you know what time it is Ms.White ?"

"It's Sanders-White." She corrected.

"Oh my–already claiming marriage I see." Jane chuckled.

"Look–don't mention my whereabouts and I won't mention you going to our neighbourhood Witch from Brooklyn. " Bobbi threatened.

"Very well." Jane agreed.

"Jane, Bobbi?" Bo called out, hallway light turning on.

"Coming babe."

"A second my tether~"

With one final agreement, the two made a pact to keep their hobbies a secret for now.
