Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Advanced Tech

On the road outside the remote park, a Porsche 911 was surrounded by four Chevrolet SUVs, two in front and two behind.

A total of twelve armed personnel got out of the vehicles, raising their M4s and aiming them at the car ahead.

Suddenly.

"Da da da!!!"

Twelve M4s fired simultaneously. 5.56mm rounds poured down like a torrential storm.

Vermouth, seated in the passenger seat, instinctively ducked, even though she knew that under such intense firepower, the Porsche 911 would be completely penetrated and she would be riddled with bullets.

But training-instilled reflexes still made her react.

Toru, in the driver's seat, remained calm. Seeing this, Vermouth was startled and quickly said, "Boy!"

Just as she reached out to push Toru down into the seat, she finally understood why he wasn't panicked at all.

The storm of bullets rained on the Porsche, but not a single shot pierced through. Instead, they left only impact marks on the body and glass.

This car was bulletproof. And judging by the performance, it was practically an armored vehicle in disguise.

Vermouth was stunned. From the inside, the Porsche didn't look thick or reinforced, which meant its bulletproof capability should have been average.

To make a sports car this compact and lightweight as resistant as an armored vehicle, it would have to be on par with the car used by the U.S. President.

Those cars typically weighed several tons. They were practically miniature tanks.

Was this some kind of cutting-edge American tech? Vermouth couldn't help but wonder.

Toru sneered inwardly. This wasn't any tech from the U.S. It was a highly advanced military tech granted by the system. Only with that kind of reward could a lightweight sports car like the Porsche 911 have such monstrous bulletproof performance.

To pierce this car, you'd need at least anti-tank weapons. Ordinary 5.56mm assault rifles didn't even come close.

Countless cracks appeared on the windshield in front of Toru, but it never shattered. The enemies emptied a full magazine, and when they saw that no damage had been done, they were left stunned.

"Done shooting? Then it's my turn."

Toru tapped a key on the dashboard. The covers above the headlights opened automatically, revealing twin machine guns.

"Vermouth, hold on tight."

He pressed the clutch with his left foot and shifted into first gear manually. While pressing the brake lightly with the toe of his right foot, he floored the accelerator with his heel.

The engine roared past 4000 RPM. The rear tires screeched against the pavement, smoke billowing out.

Under Toru's control, the Porsche gripped the road and spun into a tight drift.

At the same time, the twin machine guns mounted on the hood began to unleash true battlefield firepower.

12.7mm rounds rained out in a brutal hail of bullets.

The suppressive force of two mounted machine guns could hold off two full platoons in a battle. Against a mere twelve enemies, it was total annihilation.

These rounds didn't just punch through and wound. They shredded. When swept across the human body, they tore flesh into mangled, bloody scraps.

"Da da da da!!!!!"

Shell casings clattered to the ground like rain, a harsh metallic chorus.

As the Porsche spun 360 degrees, smoke rising from the tires and the stench of gunpowder hanging heavy in the air, there was no one left standing in front of the car.

Only blood, limbs, and broken bodies littered the road. The four SUVs were torn up like they'd driven through a war zone.

Toru didn't know if there had been anyone still inside the vehicles. But even if there had been, they were definitely dead now.

Vermouth sat dazed. She had been certain they were going to die. But somehow, it had turned into a complete turnaround.

Back at the hotel, when they were ambushed by three attackers, if she had faced them alone without Toru, even if she had survived, she would have been seriously injured. That ambush had been coordinated. They were prepared.

Even if she had made it past the hotel, facing this elite Mossad unit out here, escape would have been impossible.

Her pounding heart slowly settled. A deep exhaustion washed over her. Vermouth leaned back in her seat, pulled out a pack of slim women's cigarettes, and lit one.

"You saved my life again, Boy~"

She exhaled a thin stream of smoke, then turned to look at Toru, who was also leaning back in his seat. Her eyes sparkled, and a playful smile tugged at her lips.

"So, how should you reward me?" Toru asked with a grin.

Vermouth smiled seductively. Holding the cigarette in her right hand, she leaned over, wrapped her left arm around his neck, and kissed him passionately.

Toru had been on edge the entire chase. The enemy was well-equipped and organized. He had genuinely feared they might pull out something like a rocket launcher at the last second.

Now that the threat had passed, with a warm beauty in his arms, he wrapped his arms around her slender waist and kissed her back without hesitation.

By now, a large number of police vehicles had surrounded the area from both directions. Two helicopters hovered overhead.

But none of the officers dared to get close.

The firepower from those two machine guns had been terrifying.
