Chapter 10 - Chapter 010: I Was Simply Announcing My Arrival

In less than five minutes, security came and brought out the principal.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Please forgive me, Miss Kingsley," he tried to struggle.

"You were so sure about the security a while ago. Don't you like it?" I waved him goodbye.

"They arrived, but not for me. For you,"

A teacher rushed inside the office just as I sat down in the principal's chair.

"This is..."

From those two words, I can instantly tell that this was the person I talked to on the phone yesterday.

"Did you have stomach problems?" I asked her.

"Huh? No?" she replied uncertainly.

I looked at my wristwatch, and somehow she did the same.

"I've been here for an hour and a half already."

I leaned back, crossing one leg over the other as I looked at her.

She blinked a few times before she finally realized what I meant.

"I'm sorry was busy with-"

"I don't need excuses. Just lead me to my sister's room, then pack your things and leave on your merry way."

"M- Miss Kingsley-"

"Shhh," I pressed a finger on my lips.

"Since you are not serious about teaching, better vacate the place and give the position to those who are willing."

She rushed in front of me and dropped to her knees.

"Please, Miss Kingsley-"

I couldn't help but laugh sarcastically.

"You were so confident when you gave me that call. Forgetting that the owner of the things in that room was Amelia Kingsley. My younger sister. Why are you groveling now?"

I bent over and stared straight in her eyes, "Remember what I told you on the phone. If there is just one single thing that is out of place in her room...."

I stopped there, only smiling at her.

Then I stood up, "Now lead the way."

"I promise, Miss Kingsley, I never mistreated-"

"Stop, just lead the way. I told you, I don't need excuses."

"Miss Amelia Kingsley was-"

*Blag*

I grabbed her collar and slammed her against the wall. The smile on my face was gone, replaced by coldness.

"Enough with the chitchats. Lead the way to her room."

Finally, there was silence.

She led me to the dorm building, trembling, and students began to turn their heads.

Not that they know me, many people have forgotten how I looked, simply because I rarely appeared in public before. I even spent two years abroad.

The reason they stared was because of her. The teacher looked like I had a gun aimed at her back as she walked ahead of me.

"Don't look too scared, or others might misunderstand," I said, watching her flinch.

I shook my head. I had no plans to make big moves right now.

Not just yet.

I was simply announcing my arrival.

Soon, we reached Amelia's dorm room.

"Wait for me out here. I will be checking everything."

I said, giving her a warning glance.

After she opened the door, I took a sharp intake of air.

I hadn't expected Amelia's scent to still linger after a month.

I opened the curtains, letting sunlight into the room. I looked at the table and the bed.

"Come inside," I called out.

She walked in nervously, her eyes darting everywhere.

"So many things are missing," I simply said, turning to her.

Just one glance, and I could tell that all of Amelia's jewelry was gone.

Since I've watched everything that happened in her room. I also knew just who it was that took them.

"This is..."

She became even more nervous.

I walked out of the room and looked up at the CCTV camera.

"Give me the footage from that camera for the past month," I ordered.

"I don't have the authority to-"

"Useless."

I once again made a call.

"This is Lilith Kingsley. I need the names of everyone who entered Amelia Kingsley's room after her death. Every single one of them."

"Yes, ma'am," came the reply.

So, not everyone in this school looked down on the Kingsleys.

I leaned against the wall while more and more students gathered.

The teacher looked like she would faint any minute now.

"You're an eyesore. Pack your things and leave now. I might suddenly bash your head on the wall."

My irritation was rising because of Amelia's lingering scent in the room.

The teacher looked like she was running for her life while the students started whispering to one another.

"Miss Kingsley," one of the staff said, rushing up.

"Here's the footage and the list of students who entered."

It seemed they had conducted a proper investigation, without me saying anything.

"I want them here. Now," I said after a brief glance at the files.

While waiting, I tinkered with my phone, ignoring the growing crowd.

After a few minutes, two female students were brought over.

"The other student was in the hospital," the security personnel reported.

it seems that it was the dog from yesterday.

"Very well, you can leave. I'll speak with these students inside the room."

The security personnel looked at me but knowing that I was the one who kicked out the principal moments ago. He dared not say anything and simply left.

"Go inside," I then said to the girls.

"Why should we follow you?" one of them snapped.

I smiled, grabbed both by the collar, and shoved them into the room.

I did not need to use too much force. They were too weak.

Then I stepped inside, not after playing something on my phone.

"Wh- What are you doing? Do you know who we are?"

I walked closer instead of answering.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

Both of them screamed when I snatched off their earrings, leaving a bloody trail behind.
