Eve Sherman cleared her throat, "There's no need for us to be so formal with each other."
"Oh, I don't know when I got used to calling you that. If you don't like it, I'll change it to Sister Eve, is that okay?"
Stella Sutton rarely coaxed Eve Sherman like this. Just by looking at her, Eve could tell she was up to something.
"You don't have to worry about what happened before. I didn't take it to heart, and actually, some of the things you said were quite right. So, there's no need to explain anything to me, as I wasn't really misunderstanding anything."
"Well, maybe we can talk about this once we're in the car? I've booked a dessert shop that has a new special; it's said to be really delicious."
With that, Stella warmly opened the car door for Eve Sherman.
Eve Sherman felt it would be impolite to refuse and after a moment's thought, got in the car.
