Walter's words made Eve feel a bit embarrassed.
She opened her mouth, unsure of how to respond, but Stellan nodded, letting out a slight sigh.
"Indeed, I feel it now. Her morning sickness is uncomfortable, and I feel uncomfortable as well. I even wish I could take her place."
Stellan's voice was deep and pleasant, and Eve sighed, feeling somewhat troubled inside.
She didn't understand why things between them had turned out this way.
Clearly, many things were not as hoped.
But she hadn't expected her married life to be so troublesome, too.
Thinking about it, she sighed silently.
Walter seemed to notice she was off and quickly asked, "Is the food here not to your liking?"
Eve returned to her senses and shook her head.
"No, I was just thinking of something else, don't misunderstand."
