Stellan Sutton suddenly felt as if something had touched him deeply inside.
He lowered his gaze, quietly looking into Eve Sherman's eyes.
After a long while, he finally spoke, "Thank you."
Eve Sherman shook her head, "If you can't take care of the dog anymore, don't worry, I'll look after it."
Stellan Sutton lowered his gaze and smiled, "How could that be? I'll take good care of it. Will you raise it with me?"
"Of course!"
Eve replied without thinking.
But only later did she realize that he might not have been talking about raising a dog at all.
She paused, wanting to explain, but missed the chance.
The puppy finished drinking milk and seemed tired, falling asleep immediately. Once Eve was sure it was asleep, she called Stellan Sutton to go upstairs together.
Back in the room, Stellan Sutton seemed somewhat exhausted and was not as talkative as usual.
He went to the wardrobe to get some clothes, then headed to the bathroom for a shower.
