Riley Langdon gave her a slight smile, "People like us, who work outside watching others' faces, are often powerless when it comes to many things. I'm just speaking from a woman's perspective to give you a reminder. If I've upset you, I hope you'll understand."
"Thank you."
Eve Sherman nodded, "Not upset."
"Of course, if there's anything you're powerless about at work, or if your boss does something that offends you, you can contact me. I'd like to help you."
It seemed Riley Langdon misunderstood something. Eve Sherman wanted to explain but didn't know where to start.
"My boss is quite nice, not like you think, but thank you anyway. Other women would be lucky to meet someone like you."
