Eve Sherman was eager to go back, but the road was so clogged it was suffocating.
"President Sutton, I told you, I could have taken the subway myself. Look, we're stuck here without moving."
Stellan Sutton glanced at his watch indifferently, "No worries, taking the subway in heavy rain isn't safe."
"Thank you, President Sutton, for being so considerate."
Eve Sherman finished exchanging pleasantries, and the two lapsed into an awkward silence.
"I want to ask you, if there's nothing between you and Wyatt Crawford, then where is your legal husband now?"
Eve didn't expect him to ask about her private affairs, but after thinking, she replied, "Since things have come to this point, I'll be honest with you."
Stellan turned his head to glance at her, "Of course, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to."
"By clarifying things with you, it will save a lot of trouble later on. I don't want anyone to be negatively affected because of me."
