Stellan gazed at her intently. "So, from what you're saying, it's like me telling you to dress comfortably actually made you feel uncomfortable."
"Thank you. You really are a boss who cares about your subordinates."
Stellan ended up not saying anything more and waved for Eve to go ahead and get back to work.
Eve's foot got even more swollen overnight, but luckily the next day she went with Wyatt to get acupuncture, so she could at least walk, barely.
"You remember you're coming home with me tomorrow, right?"
Wyatt said worriedly.
"Of course I remember, don't worry."
"Or, I could just tell them you twisted your ankle and it's inconvenient for you to come. Let's just call this off. That way my mom won't push for marriage or say any other random stuff that'll annoy you."
Eve shook her head. "It's fine. I don't really have to do anything when I go back anyway, just a sprained ankle, it's no big deal."
